I shift and head off into the forest, I need to mourn for my lost family, I know Jake is now my mate but Mfuasi was my first mate.

It's now dark and I come across a large lake, after listening I realise it's the lake Sam spoke about, its where the loon birds are found.

I find a spot to lay and I start to relax under their haunting cry.

I look up at the dark sky and I imagine that Mfuasi, Dotty and Dalia are looking down on me now.

I hear a twig snap behind me and I know it's Jake, he's making his presence known so I don't attack him, my tail flicks back and forth same with my ears.

"Hey, I didn't want to startle you, are you alright?" He says quietly, he's trying not to scare the loons.

I shift but still lay on the flat ground.

"I'm okay, it's just a lot has changed in the last year and I can't do this alone anymore, it's getting to be too much"

"You don't need to do this alone anymore, I'm here to help so is your pride and so is the pack, they've offed any help you need whenever and whatever that may be" I smile, what did I do to deserve someone like him.

"Change of subject, what do you think about the Cullens?" I scoff a little.

"I don't mind jasper, I can see that he cares for Sara already and he knows what'll happen to him if he hurts her, but as for the others I'm not sure they give off a vibe like they want me to trust them but something is telling me to be cautious, again I don't get that feeling with jasper but with the others I do"

"Sam's the same really, he doesn't mind jasper because he doesn't pry like the others, he tolerates the doc because well he's the best healer here unless one of you know how to heal and re break broken bones" I laugh before shaking my head no.

"Jasper does" I gasp and jump up, causing the birds to go silent for a moment.

Sara is standing in the dark with jasper.

"You know better then to sneak up on me, what if I attacked you!"

"You wernt in your lion form I'm fine, we overheard your conversation we didn't mean to we didn't realise this is where you were, jasper says that he's just as skilled as Carlisle more so even, Carlisle doesn't let him help anyone because he's scared that jasper will lose control, which is a load of bull jasper has more control then the rest of them" I can't believe how quickly those two have gotten along, sure they've spend the most time together but they're not awkward around one another like most of the wolves are.

"If you don't want Carlisle to help you heal when you get injured I can help you, I have more experience with injuries from serving in the war Carlisle just read a ton of books and called himself an expert" Wow he has a hatred for his family I never knew about.

"You don't like your family much do you?" Jasper looks at me with a little sympathy then offers me a smile.

"Let's just say I'm not their biggest fan, Carlisle has always tried to rein me in, I have two other alter egos I suppose you'd call them, the Major is how I was in the war before I became a vampire, Ares is after when Ares takes over I'm deadly the family is terrified of them both so they try to make sure I don't hunt as much as them so they can't get control as easily" he laughs before looking at Jake and I.

"Carlisle thinks if I don't get enough blood Ares and Major won't be able to take control, they do it all the time and Carlisle doesn't even notice, the only difference you'd notice is that my accent it becomes a thick southern accent so half the time you might have trouble understanding me" we all chuckle.
