I stare at the pregnancy test in the sink, tears well up and I can't control them, I can't be pregnant I just can't, I didn't want to have more cubs yet, I wanted to wait until Dotty and Dalia have grown!

I toss the test in my bin and bolt outside shifting as soon as my feet touch the ground I run straight for the loon lake, this can't be real.

My cubs now look like young adults, they are now able to hunt on their own, they'd understand wouldn't they?

"Mom? Is everything okay?" I turn around quickly I didn't even know that I was being followed, Dalia moves towards me and nudges me.

"I'm alright little one, just feeling a little under the weather that's all" I know she doesn't believe me but I don't want to tell her.

"Your pregnant aren't you?" I look at her then look down in shame, I can't be pregnant I just can't be.

"According to the stupid tests but I don't trust them, are you mad?" My daughter just looks like I've just slapped her.

"Why would I be mad?, we could be getting siblings, I know that you didn't want more yet but sometimes things just happen" when did she get so wise.

"Jaspers been hanging around a lot" I laugh a little.

"I need to tell him but I don't know how" I turn to see Dotty arrive with a doe deer in her jaws.

"I thought you'd be hungry mom, you haven't been eating much" I nod before turning towards the Doe but something tells me not to eat.

"I'm not too hungry right now sweetie I might eat later"

"You need to eat if your pregnant mother" I gasp and look at her how'd she...

"I noticed that your behaviour and your mood improved after you and Jake left to hunt, I knew something was up" I smile as I nudge her, I need to tell Jake.

"Is their any chance I could ask you two to go get Jake for me and bring him here?" Dalia nods while Dotty just looks at me.

"Only if you promise to eat, even if your not pregnant you still need to eat mother it's not healthy" I sigh and nod, a promise is a promise.

I start to eat and they both run off to the Rez.

My nerves go up majorly, I don't know if I'm ready to tell him yet.

I eat a little bit of the deer but stop when I hear Jake and the girls, here we go.

I notice Jake has shifted so he can talk to me.

I look down, how am I supposed to tell him?

Dalia comes up and nudges me to encouraging me to tell him.

Cause I'm the pride leader I'm able to communicate with Jake through a link like I can with my pride.

"Listen Jake, I need to tell you something but I don't exactly know how to start" I see him sit and wait patiently, I think he knows.

"Jake I'm....I'm pregnant" I whisper the last word just hoping he wouldn't hear it or maybe I hoped that this was just a dream I'd soon wake up from.

Jake walks up to me slowly and nudges me, he hasn't said anything I'm worried.

"My imprint, you have given me everything I could ever ask for, even though Dotty and Dalia aren't mine I've treated them like they are, now I'll have a family of my own" I lower my head, he doesn't understand that I didn't want more cubs yet.
