I move to my youngest daughter and lick her wound like Dalia was doing, sadly because it is a mate mark she will have a scar but hopefully it will heal enough.

"Do you think your healed enough for a walk?" She nods her head and stands up slowly.

"I'm okay mom, I promise I'm just a little tender that's all I can't turn my neck that much" I growl a little not liking what Tojo did to her.

"Follow me" she follows close behind me and we soon arrive to the loon lake, I think the calls will help her relax but also me, I can't take any more stress.

We find a place to lay and I soon relax enough that I start to fall asleep.

"Hey mom?" I look to my daughter and I see her more relaxed then ever.

"Yea Dotty?"

"Thanks, my neck isn't as sore now and I'm lucky to have such a loving and large family" I move towards her and nudge her lovingly.

"M'baku is going to be a great leader someday, he's shown us that he's willing to do whatever it takes to protect Dalia and the pride" I see Dotty nod before eyes eyes close fully and I hear her calm even breathing.

For the next few hours I just sleep and listen to the birds and Dotty, Jake asked me how I was and I told him what happened, at first he was pissed but then he calmed down when I told him that Tojo is no longer in the pride.

I open my eyes and see that it's night or close to it, the sun has started to disappear, I stand up and stretch my long legs and wake up Dotty at first she groans but then slowly wakes up, she must of needed the sleep.

"Time to head on home now" she stretches then darts off into the woods and I follow behind her.

We arrive home and I see Dalia asleep with little Damon sleeping in between her paws, M'baku is watching outside on guard, the rest of the lionesses are most likely asleep, Victoria is inside on the couch watching Dalia while Tau and Endesha are wrestling outside.

"Where are the rest of the cubs?" M'baku comes up to me and nudges me out of respect before shifting.

"They are all upstairs either playing with Nyla and Athene or sleeping with Hasani and Kula.

I move inside and shift back, I must admit I'm tired after that even though I've slept it doesn't feel like it.

A few minutes later jasper comes in and he looks rigid, Endesha is immediately on guard as to what's got him on edge.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Edward, he's on the warpath with Rosalie, she didn't shield her mind so he saw everything, she's now on the run somewhere in either their territory or ours but he can't find her, I went around to there home and tried to find a scent but she's masked it, she's definitely here somewhere but I just don't know where, he wanted to come here to warn us but I told him to stay put, Emmett is trying to help Edward find her, he couldn't believe that Rosalie was responsible for Lydia's death so when he was convinced he went looking" I take a deep breath, not wanting to shift yet.

"We need to find her!" I say through clenched teeth.

Endesha, M'baku, Athene and Sara follow me outside and shift when I do, now she's gone too far.

Victoria, Kula, Diku, Nyla, Hasani, Nakia, Nadia, Imani and Tau stay back home to protect the cubs.

Jasper leads the way to where he found a slight trace of her scent.

My pride spreads out and tries to find something to help.

"Jasper, go ask the pack for help, they might have better luck" jasper nods before sprinting off towards the Rez.
