"Sage. Veronica. It's time to go." Aunt Rose yelled upstairs. As I walked past my sister's room, I started to hear her laugh. I opened her door to see what she was laughing at."V! Come look at this!" She said patting the spot next to her on the bed. She was looking at a photo album.
"Wow. Was that our first year?" I said looking at the photo mum took of us at the station.
"Yup! We look like babies!" I remember our first day at Hogwarts like it was yesterday. Getting off the train and looking at the breath taking castle in front of us. Walking into the Great Hall for our placements.
"Sage Silverling" Professor McGonagall called. I looked at my sister and smiled. She walked up nervously.
"GRYFFINDOR!" The sorting hat said. She smiled and walked to her new table.
"Veronica Silverling" I walked to the chair. I wanted nothing more than to be placed with my sister.
"Aah. I know this one. I can detect it. I placed someone who shares the same characteristics as you. But I'm also detecting some determination along with patience and kindness. Difficult. Slytherin or Hufflepuff? But what about the strong courage feeling I'm picking up. Along with being extremely confident. Gryffindor would be another great place for you. Hmmm. You belong to...SLYTHERIN!" My face dropped.
I can't...I am a twin. How can I be placed in a different house!? I looked at my sister. She started to form tears. I look at my new house table and saw a blonde hair boy smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and sat down away from him.
After we ate, we gathered to walk to our common rooms. Sage ran up to me and hugged me.
"I am so sorry. This was not how it was supposed to be planned! You must have gotten-"
"Dad's characteristics. I know." I said with a smile. "It'll be fine. Who said we can't see each other? We are sisters. We are family. We HAVE to see each other. We live in the same house!"
"You're right!"
"Gryffindor this way! Follow me!" A tall ginger boy said.
"Go! It'll be fine!" I smiled at her and her friends standing behind her. One had fluffy brown hair and the other had circle glasses. They smiled back and walked away with my sister.
"So. Twins who are opposite of each other. I can see what type of blood is in your family." I turned to see who was talking. It was a blond hair boy who was smirking. "Names Draco. Draco Malfoy. This is Crabbe and Goyle."
"Veronica. And please. Stop talking to me." I walk past him. I could see out of the corner of my eye his mouth dropped.
"Ha! She gave it back to you Malfoy!" The short fat one named Crabbe said.
"Shut up!" Draco said in a demanding tone.
"Girls we are going to be late! What are you guys doing?"
"Sorry Aunt Rose, Sage pulled me in here to look at this photo album" Our aunt walked into Sage's room and started looking at the photos with us.
"I can't believe it is you guy's fifth year!" Aunt Rose said. I looked at her and saw tears starting to form.
We got to the train and I hugged my sister. No one said we can't sit with each other on the train, but we have our own group of friends. I met up with my best friend, Milly Moonbeam and her boyfriend, Axel Vega.
"How was your break?" Milly asked after hugging me.
After catching up with her, a strong scent of cologne appeared.
Draco. I said to myself. I let out a sigh.
"Nice to see you, Ms. Silverling." Draco said with a smirk. He has not left me alone ever since I told him to stop talking to me in our first year.
"What do you want, Malfoy?" I asked in a demanding way. I could see he has grown since last year. He was taller and very, very handsome. I couldn't stop staring, I didn't think he could look this good.
"Ooooh." Draco said looking at Crabbe and Goyle. Ugh, why can't he find new friends. "Someone has a mouth." Draco said smirking looking me up and down.
"Alright mate, leave her alone." Axel said chuckling.
Draco leaned down next to my ear. "I'll be seeing you." His breath sent chills down my spine. I looked up at him, inches away from my face. He raised his eyebrows and walked away.
We finally go to the castle. Still as breathtaking as the first time I saw it. I looked at my sister and she came skipping over with her friends.
"Ron, Hermione, Harry. Nice to see you guys!"
"You too!" said Hermione and Harry hugging me.
"Yeah..." said Ron staring at me.
"Oh Ron, snap out of it. She'll never date you!" my sister said jokingly. He blushed and looked away.
"So Sage was telling me that-" Just then Hermione was cut off by Professor McGonagall.
"Veronica and Sage Silverling. My office. Now" She said with a harsh voice. We both sighed and walked away.
We entered McGonagall's office and walked to her desk. She stood up and walked over to us with a grin on her face.
"My! You both have gotten taller!" She said grabbing our faces and hugging us.
"Grandmother!" Sage said smiling.
"Yes, right. And how is everything?"
"Fine grandmother. You know everything is fine. Aunt Rose and Uncle Mike are perfect." I said smiling. She started to pour us some tea.
"Yes, well. I just thought I would ask."
"Grandmother, you do know how to make some good tea!" Sage said closing her eyes and taking a sip. She's not wrong. Grandmother does make amazing tea. It is nice to be McGonagall's granddaughters. It really helps with everything that has happened. We all agreed to not let the whole school know we are related. Especially since I am in Slytherin.
"Very well. Off you two. Don't want to keep you out past curfew. Love you both very much. If you need anything, you know where to find me." She said hugging us and kissing our cheeks.
We left her office and walked towards our common rooms.
"This is where we split off. See you tomorrow." I said hugging Sage.
"Someone is waiting for you." She whispered in my ear. I let go to see who it was.
"Draco. Ugh." I said quietly.
"Ronnie..."
"I know. Be careful. Love you sis."
"Love you." We hooked our pinkies together and split.
"Silverling."
"Malfoy." He smirked and began to walk with me. I rolled my eyes and started walking faster.
"No, look I'm sorry. I really wasn't waiting for you. I was just looking for Crabbe and Goyle and saw you with your sister. I just want to walk, I swear." I slowed down a bit and let him catch up. I'm okay with just walking.
"No funny business then." He smiled and continued to walk with me.
"So, did you have a good summer?" He asked awkwardly. I looked at him and continued to walk.
"Erm. Yes. I did. And you?"
"It was interesting."
"You were at the quidditch tournament weren't you? The one where-"
"Yes. Yes I was. Could we um not talk about it?"
"Oh, yeah of course. I'm sorry." We continued to walk in silence.
"Pure-Blood" Draco said to enter our dungeon.
"Well, erm, goodnight."
"Yeah..." He looked a little upset I ended the conversation. I walked quickly to my room and sat on my bed.
