The Yule Ball is in a couple of weeks and everyone is already coupled up. The only person who isn't is me and Veronica. I needed to get Ronnie to trust me to go with me.  I folded up a note into a bird and sent it her way.

Veronica's POV

I was writing my notes in potions class when a paper bird flew onto my books.

Meet me in the common room. After curfew

D.

I bit my lip and looked up at Draco. He was giving me a side smirk and looked away.

This isn't going to be another repeat of last time we were in the common rooms is it? I think to myself. I began to think about that night when he demanded everyone to leave. Leaving us two alone. Getting really close to me and-

"Miss. Silverling. It looks like I may interrupting something. Tell me, what do you get if I add a powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?

"Draught of Living Death, sir. It is a very powerful sleeping potion that causes the drinker to fall into a deep, death-like sleep." I saw out of the corner of my eyes Draco's mouth was wide opened. He wasn't the only one.

"Very interesting. Smart like your father. I suggest you pay attention and stay out of that head of yours. Five points to Slytherin." The rest of the Slytherins quietly cheered. Hermione is still in shock that she is not the only smart witch attending the school, at least not in potions class.

It is finally time for bed and I am laying with my eyes wide open thinking about what Draco wants. I keep checking the clock to see if it is passed curfew yet. Finally, nine o'clock hits and I quietly get out of bed. I put my house shoes on and walk downstairs. I made sure I had my cute pajamas on. I walk down the cold stone steps to see a bunch of candles lit everywhere and the fireplace still going. The couches are pushed back created a big open space in front of the fireplace. Draco is standing in the middle of the open space with a smile on his face.

"Ta-da!" He says with the biggest grin stretching his arms out.

"You had me stay up past curfew just to show me you can rearrange the furniture?"

"No. I had you stay up past curfew because I am going to teach you a lesson." Oh, here it is! I knew it! "Oh and by the way, sexy pajamas. I love the lace shorts and cropped shirt. I like seeing your stomach." He winked sending butterflies through me. He turns his back on me and started messing with something. Before I can see what he is doing, music started to play. (Beast of Burden-The Rolling Stones). I looked at him confused and he takes my hand.

"You said you don't know how to dance, so I am here to teach you how to dance!" He places my arms around his neck and he grabs my waist gently. I looked into his eyes with nervousness.

"I'm going to make a fool of myself."

"Well, at least you'll look cute doing it. Just trust me." He then began to move slowly and smoothly. I looked down at my feet to try and match his.

"Hey, look here. Look at me. Trust me and yourself. I promise." I looked into his eyes and started to feel calm. I took a deep breath and trusted him. The next thing I know, we are dancing across the open space.

"I can't believe I'm doing this." I say with shock. Malfoy begins to chuckle and lets go.

"Come on then, have a go. Let's see your best moves! Just close your eyes and let the music take you." He began to move around me and dance. I never thought I would ever see this side of Draco. I giggled and closed my eyes. I started to move around and realized I am doing an awful job. I just didn't care, this was the most fun I have ever had. He grabs my hands and we are moving around laughing. He spins me around grabs my hands again, and then the music stops. We stopped moving around and looked at each other with confusion. The song wasn't over yet.
