Chapter 1: Alexander

The phone ringing at 2am woke me up. I answered, blinking several times to try and wake myself up. "Hello?" I murmured.

"Rhynna! You gotta help me! Please!" Alexander's voice echoed through the speaker.

Alexander's voice made me sit up. "Alex? Where the hell are you? Why did you bust out of prison? You were about to get released! You only had another week!" I yelled.

"Shh!! You're gonna alert someone!" He yell-whispered.

"Sorry!" I whispered. "Where are you?"

"Shit!" Alex said and the line went dead.

"Alex?!" I cried. No response. I sighed, turning the GPS of his phone on so I could track him. Finally, it registered, "Downtown? That's like a block from here? Why didn't he just come here?" Suddenly there was a tap on my bedroom window.

Surprised I walked over to find Alex climbing the side of my house, "Open the window he whispered." I quickly did and pulled him in. His built body luckily fit. He stood up, he was nearly four inches taller than me. It was dark so I couldnt really see his face.

"Why did you run?" I asked. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair.

He paced back and forth for a minute before finally answering, "I left... because.." he sighed again. "There's something you don't know Rhynna.. I... Rhynna, I found out what the police were gonna do to me and it wasnt good. Rhynna, they were going to torture me until I told them where our group met, who was in it, and personal info about you. I couldn't do that and they weren't going to release me anytime soon. The reason why its big that I left is because I had to drop some guards to get out alive. Rhynna, they aren't going to stop looking for me so I have to leave, go to a different country or something, I can't stay here." He finished.

I sat quiet for a second, "So you came to say goodbye? Just like that?" I asked feeling hurt.

He chuckled quietly, "No I came to ask if you wanted to come with me. Will you accompany me to another continent? I was thinking Italy would be nice, or England. I don't care which."

I sat for a moment, thinking. "You want me to leave, after I just got out of prison, and may finally be on good terms with the police?"

"Oh my god, you're right! I'm so sorry, I wasn't even thinking about that! I- I gotta go." He said quickly running to the window and carefully opening it. I started laughing. He glared at me, "You think its funny I have to jump out a window and go, god knows where and start a new life?" He snorted, annoyed.

I grabbed his arm and said, "No! I was kidding Alex, sheesh. Of course I'll come! You know how much I like adventures!" I winked at him.

He rolled his eyes and said, "Well are you ready?"

"Nope, we can leave in a few hours. I gotta pack food, clothes, toiletries, and a few others things like money, a gun, etc. So you're lucky I kept that bag with all your spare clothes and stuff here." I tossed him the bag. I proceeded to the bathroom ad he followed me and warned me to stay quiet imcase police were near by. I told him that I obviously remembered to stay quiet. After an hour or so I was all packed and ready and everything was only in 2 bags. I tossed them in the back seat of my SUV and got in the driver's seat, adjusting my disguise. I put on my sunglasses for a final touch and glanced at Alex in the rear view mirror. He sat in way back, I was glad I had tinted windows so no one could see him. I smiled and started the car. Good thing I didn't have any pets I decided as I drove to the airport.

Hey guys! Shortish chapterr I know but I have finals tomorrow and need to go to bed but be happy I updated! Anyways any thought on whats gonna happen? Nothing really big happened yet, but just wait.. it will get better in a couple of chapters! Happy reading!
