I arrived at the best club in town. Grinning I headed in, showing my ID to the bouncer. He nodded me in, I headed straight to the bar and ordered a shot. Alcohol didn't really effect me much, so I wasn't worried about getting drunk or doing something crazy. I downed the shot and headed to the dance floor. I danced for only a few moments before someone shouted to me over the music, asking to dance. I nodded and turned to face him. I immediately froze. It was Alex, I screamed.

I woke up, I was yet again in a hospital. Gideon sighed and came over to me. He sat next to the hospital bed, shaking his head.
"You can't stop ending up here, can you?" He chuckled.
I frowned, "Why am I here? The last thing I remember is going to the club and..." I trailed off. Alex. "I saw Alex! He was there! I know it!" Gideon put a hand on the side of my head.
"Rhynna, Alex is dead. He isn't coming back. The sooner you get over that.. the better." I pushed him off me.
"Go." I told him.
"Rhynna-"
"GO!" I screamed. He nodded and left the room. I huffed in annoyance, obviously Alex was dead. But I know that I saw him. I know it was him, it was his voice, his body, his face, his everything. "Alex," I whispered, "I know you're alive. I can feel it."
******
An hour later, the hospital released me. Gideon was waiting in the waiting room for me. He stood as I entered. We walked to the car.
He paused, "Rhynna-"
"Gideon, don't, I should be the one who's sorry. I have to be an adult and accept that Alex is dead." I got in the car, cutting off the conversation.
"What to get some lunch?" Gideon asked. I nodded. He drove us to a nicer restaurant where we sat and talked about random stuff for a while, mostly about his life and mine recently.
"Hey Gideon?" He looked up from the menu at me. "Why was I at the hospital?" He bit his lip. "Gideon. Tell me." I demanded.
He sighed, "Not here, Rhynna." I reluctantly agreed. I was silent for a while.
"Gideon, how are you?" I asked, looking at him worriedly, I had put him through so much. I was surprised he still wanted to care for me.
He smiled, "I'm alright. I have a house, a job, food, and my precious daughter. What more could I ask for?"
I laughed, "Maybe a girlfriend? You haven't had one since I was like 17. That was like 5 years ago."
Gideom looked at me seriously, "Rhynna.. I don't need a girlfriend. I'm perfectly happy with my life now. In fact, I might join my old team again." He leaned back smiling.
My eyes widened in surprise, "Atlas? But you can't, Gideon, you are almost 39 years old! That will be too hard on you!"
He looked at me sternly, "Rhynna. That is not up to you, now let's eat and go rest up at home, okay?" I muttered and okay back and looked down at my plate of hot food, that just arrived.
******
Approximately an hour later, we were back to Gideon's and all I wanted to do was leave and go home. I let my mind wander back through what happened in my life, from my early childhood, to being thrown in jail, to now.
"Where are my parents now?" I wondered out loud.
Gideon looked at me, "Rhynna, your parents were bad people, why would you even wonder about them?"
I shrugged, "They're my parents, Gideon. I am just wondering what happened to them over the years."
"Rhynna, I'm your dad, thats all you need. You don't need them, at all." I shrugged. Heading to the computer, I decided to research their names and find out where they are today. Jacob and Catherine Harisson. Several articles came up about them being abusive and a horrible parent and stuff, but there was one newspaper article about them today. Apparently, after five years in jail they got completely better, found god, and ended up having another child. A girl. Which they named Myanna. Seriously, MYANNA. That is pretty close to RHYNNA. That just made me very mad, so I found their home adress and told Gideon I was leaving.
He stopped me, "I'm coming with you."
I laughed and shook my head, "No you aren't!"
He looked at me seriously, "Rhynna, its not safe for you to go out alone after what happened." I glared at him and turned and ran out the door. He quickly followed me down to the parking garage. I got in the drivers seat and locked the doors a second too late. Gideon had already opened the door. I huffed in disappointment. He tisked at me and put his seatbelt on. I rolled my eyes and started the car. "So, where are we going?" He asked.
I grinned devilishly, "To meet the people who hurt me."
