Alex and me barely made it to the airport without running out of gas, I didnt want to risk staying in one place to long or people could notice Alex. He had a pair of shades on, a really puffy jacket (even though it was nearly 89 degrees), and a baseball cap on. We walked inside and headed to the counter to get on the soonest flight to Europe.
The lady at the counter looked up at us and gave us a enormous fake smile, "What can I do for you lovely folks?" She said in a really annoying voice.
I rolled my eyes, "We would like 2 plane tickets to Europe, for as soon as possible."
She batted her eyelashes at me, and said, "I'm sure you would, but I need a specific country."
"When is the soonest flight?" I asked.
She checked her computer, "One leaves for Venice in a half hour, there are 5 seat available. There is one for Paris that leaves in an hour, with 1 seat available. Or there is one for London with 9 seats available that leaves in 25 minutes. Which would you like?" I looked at Alex. He shrugged.
I turned around and replied slowly, "London....We will take the London one."
She simply smirked and replied, "Here's your tickets, good luck making it."
I took them and we ran to security. I had managed to get two fake ID's made in less than a half hour. We showed them and somehow made it on the plane. I looked at Alex and said, "We're going to England."
***5 HOURS LATER***
I stepped off the plane, feeling sick. I was not a person to fly. Alex knew this because of our previous trip to Germany last year. He handed me some motion sickness medicine as I took a seat on one of the chairs. I moaned.
Alex glanced at me, "You okay?" He asked. I nodded before taking a deep breath.
"I'll be fine. Just a little motion sick." He nodded and made sure we had everything in our bags.
"Ready?" He asked. I took another breath and nodded. We stood up and headed towards the doors. We walked out into the street. It was nearly 40 degrees outside and I realized that I was glad I put on my jacket before we took off. We headed to the hotel that was 2 blocks away. The lady at the front desk greeted us as we walked in.
"Room for two?" She asked as we walked in.
I smiled, "Yes please." She nodded and looked at her computer.
"We have a room on the 3rd floor if thats okay." I looked back at Alex before nodding. Alex threw off his coat the instant we got in the room. He sighed and took off his shirt too as he sprawled on the one bed. I had a hard time keeping my eyes away. I cleared my throat and grabbed my laptop.
"I'm gonna look for cheaper houses." I sat at the desk and found a few decent ones. Suddenly I felt him put his arm on the desk next me. His abs pushed into the back. I stiffened and then struggled to relax myself.
He pointed at one of the houses, "I like that one." I looked at it, it was 30,000. A two bedroom house, with one bathroom, an office, a living room, a kitchen, and a basement. Simple and decent size.
I sighed, "I gotta go to the bank to take out money. I only have 27,000 on me."
"I'll go." He offered. I shook my head.
"You can't risk someone recognizing you. I'll go and be back soon." I stood and turned around. I nearly fell over though because he was right there. He took a slow step backwards. I quickly looked away, my cheeks heating up. I headed to the closet and grabbed my coat.
He followed me a murmured, "Be safe, okay, Rhynna." I nodded and headed to the door. I stopped and turned back to him.
"It'll be best if you stay hidden." I reminded him. He nodded and turned back. I watched the way his back contracted as he walked. I turned and left. I walked to the nearest bank, nearly 8 blocks away. I went in and asked to take money out. They luckily knew I had an account back in Detroit. I took out 4,000. The lady didn't even question me about it either. Rolling my eyes, I headed back towards the hotel. It was getting pretty dark so I started to hurry. It was probably around 6 now. I blew out and watched my warm air meet the cold night sky.
Suddenly, I was pulled to the right. A hand was placed over my mouth and an arm was securing my arms and torso to the other person's body. Angry, I kicked my foot back as high as I could reach it and thankfully, it high hit right between the legs. I took his weakness to my advantage and turned and kicked him really hard in the side. I ended it with a final punch to the side of the head. Quickly running, I managed to get back to the hotel without incident. I ran back to the room and unlocked the door to find the place a mess.
