A/N: I had to make a few subtle edits to the last chapter, because I totally forgot Lucius had already been caught at this point. But, nonetheless, on with the story!

"And may I ask, why did you leave us in Hogsmeade yesterday?!" An exasperated Blaise Zabini slumped into the bench across from me with a thud at the Ravenclaw table. The Great Hall was mostly cleared from breakfast that Sunday morning, but a few befuddled Ravenclaws cast a glance from the other end of the table.

"I ummmm, forgot I had to finish transfiguration homework?" I offered with a toothy smile. Blaise pursed his lips.

"You're lying. Don't make me slip veritaserum into your tea." he joked probingly. I raised my eyebrow with a look of distaste.

"I just..." I didn't really know how to explain that I was concerned that his friend group was made up of teenaged Death Eaters and that I didn't want to go through the trauma of finding that out again. As if he read my thoughts, Blaise- ever the perceptive Slytherin, adopted a stern expression and leaned in.

"You can't be serious Y/N. I thought I told you? We're not all-"

"You're not your parents, I know." I considered my words for a moment before deciding to unload my thoughts on him. "But you don't understand, Blaise. You don't know what it was like, nevermind what I went through, but just the betrayal in general, I-"

"I understand better than you think." Blaise said gravely, looking around to make sure we weren't being overheard.

"What do you mean?" I asked, taken aback, scanning the room once over myself.

"Not here." he shushed. "Look, we're meeting in the Divination classroom this evening during dessert. If you come, I'll explain everything. I promise." There was a twinkle in his eye. He knew I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation of a mysterious secret.

"Blaise." I groaned, rolling my eyes. He jumped to his feet with a grin.

   "See you later Herondale."

   "Ugh."

I slowly crept the door open of the Divination room, not knowing whether to expect a bedazzled Trelawney dancing in the moonlight in her undergarments to be waiting for me. But rightly enough, there was a handful of students sprawled across the classroom, coupled at the small tables used for the art of crystal ball reading, or plopped on large floor pillows. My eyes locked on Blaise as I approached him.

"Alright, you got me here." I raised my eyebrows expectantly.

"Y/N, join the festivities!" Theo welcomed heartily. I pulled my lips into a tight smile, and settled into the empty seat at their table.

It was a rather calm affair, with no alcohol in sight this time. Just a lazy Sunday get together with a bewitched radio playing softly in the background, laughter breaking up the muffled whispers of conversation. Malfoy was nowhere to be seen.
