Chapter 35

Next morning, Yunlan woke up early. He was exited to be in this cabin and wanted to go explore. He saw his Alpha still sleeping after last nights events. I got down from the bed and walked to the bathroom to freshen up. Once done, I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for my Alpha.
Later, I went to explore the cabin inside and outside. Inside the cabin, it did not have much rooms. A living room, A kitchen, one bedroom plus bathroom with a balcony attached.

I went out from the backdoor amd was thrilled to see the view. Clean blue water glistened like diamonds when sunlight hit the tiny waves. The air was fresh and pure. I saw two chairs and a table set near the river shore and it was relaxing. I went ahead and sat down, closing my eyes. I could concentrate of various sounds. I could hear the sound of gust of winds. I could hear the birds chirping in the woods and I could also hear the sound of water. This was a blessing and could remove all his built up stress.

As was I relaxing, I heard a booming voice from inside the house "YUNLAN!".

I suddenly opened my eyes and looked behind, looks like my Alpha panicked when he did not find me inside the house.

"WEI! I AM HERE, NEAR THE RIVER. COME OUTSIDE" I shouted back at him so that he can listen to me.

I saw him running towards me and panting in the process "Kitten, what did I tell you about disappearing on me. Do not scare me like that, you know I panic when I do not see you anywhere"

"I know Wei, I am sorry, I wanted to explore the cabin and found this beautiful place and could not control myself indulging in the beauty of the nature plus you were still sleeping, so I did not wake you up"

Shen wei signed "Okay! I will forgive you since I cannot stay mad at my Kitten for long. Tell me, did you have your breakfast?"

"Not yet! I was waiting for you to wake up. I have already prepared it, it's in the kitchen table"

"Okay! Stay here, I will freshen up and bring breakfast here. We will eat here"

"Thank you baby!" Yunlan said looking at Shen wei.

Shen wei smiled and leaned down to take his mate's lips and gave a deep kiss before parting and walking inside the cabin.

After having their breakfast, Yunlan was lounging on the couch watching his favorite series "The Guardian" on the T.V. Shen wei was sitting in a chair and looking at some documents related to his meeting's. I was getting immensely bored and needed to do something. Suddenly I got an urge to eat icecream. I got up from the couch and walked towards the kitchen to look for my favorite flavor but was disappointed.
He walked towards Shen wei and stood in front of him. Shen wei could feel his mate's agitation, he slowly looked up from his files and raised his eyebrows in question. He saw Yunlan cutely pouting, he pulled Yunlan and made him sit on his lap and hugged his mid section.

"Kitten! What got you agitated?"

"Wei! I am hungry and I want to eat icecream"

"Baby I have stored the ice creams in the fridge you can have as many as you want"

"But Wei, there is no strawberry flavor icecream and I have a craving for it. Our baby wants to eat is soo badly" Yunlan pouted.

Shen wei chuckled "Kitten! I would ask you to stop doing that with your lips or else I will devour you right here and make you unable to walk"

Yunlan immediately thinned his lips and closed his mouth and whined "Weiiiiiii! I want Strawberry icecream"

"Okay okay, we are far inside the forest It will atleast take me 30 minutes to go the nearby city and come back. I will be back in an hour. Is that okay?

"Okay...I will wait for you" Yunlan said happily bouncing and settled on the couch.

I got my keys and wallet and walked outside "Kitten! If you need anything else call me okay"

"Okay!"

I drove for 30 minutes and reached a town. I searched for my mate's icecream parlour and finally found his favorite flavor. As I was about to get in the car I was stopped by an old woman. She was wearing shabby clothes which was torn here and there. She had her face covered with a oversized cloth.

"You need to leave, you should not have left your loved one alone. Its dangerous, if you do not hurry you will lose him. HURRY BACK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE"

Before Shen wei could question her more she walked away and disappeared around the corner. Shen wei does not believe in all these things but when it comes to his mate he just do not want to hear anything negative and does what his heart says and right now his heart is pounding loudly. He suddenly got a bad feeling in his chest.

Right then, the thunder rolled and lightning struck. It started raining heavily. Shen wei started worrying he picked his phone and called his mate. When his mate did not pick the call even after trying for 3 times he panicked. He could not wait anymore and rode in the heavy rain. He remembered the old lady's words and he drove faster.

Yunlan was lounging on the couch waiting for Shen wei to come home with his icecream. Suddenly it started raining heavily and thunder rolled and at the exact moment the lights went off and he was plunged in the darkness. Yunlan panicked he was completely in dark and it was heavily raining outside. He slowly got up from the couch and started searching for a candle or his phone. But he couldn't find both, so he thought of waiting in the dark for his mate.

He walked out of the house and stood in the porch eagerly waiting to see the lights of his mate's car. As he was waiting, the thunder and lightning increased loudly. Suddenly a lightning hit a tree near the cabin and broke the tree which fell in front of the cabin. Yunlan jumped in shock and ran inside. He started getting scared and tears rolled down when he saw the fallen tree was caught on fire. Even though it was raining the fire did not lessen but spread more.

He begged god for his mate to come home sooner as he was getting worried and scared. Now he was alone in the darkness. The thing that lightened the surrounding was the fire caught. He peered out the window to glimpse the fire surging around. As the grass was dry the fire immediately caught and surrounded the house from ouside.

Yunlan was stuck inside the cabin. The whole cabin was surrounded by the fire and the flames danced throughout the forest. Yunlan was scared what if the cabin also caught fire because it was made of wood. He thought if that happened he would die here as he is stuck inside.

His tears did not stop flowing and he fell on the floor as the smoke of the fire came inside the cabin even though the windows were closed. He started coughing due to the heavy smoke inside the house. He tried his best to go somewhere else where there was less smoke. He slowly walked stretching his hand forward so as to not knock on something and hurt himself. He opened the bathroom door and went inside the smoke was less here. He washed his face with water to calm down his nerves.
He just needed to wait and he knew his mate could feel him and come get him as soon as possible.

Shen wei was driving as fast he could in the heavy rain. He was not able to see the road properly because of the rain but still he tried his best to reach his mate. He could feel his mate's fear due to their mating bond. He was scared of what might have happened for his mate to send such strong fear through their bond. As soon as he reached the driveway on the cabin. He was shocked the whole place was on fire and he could not see the cabin due to the heavy smoke surrounding him and the forest. He immediately called for firefighters and rode inside as much as possible.

He got down from the car and started walking forward. It was very difficult when he was surrounded by the fire. The air was very thick due to the fire smoke. The fire was so high that it made difficult to even see. He had to close his mouth in order not to inhale much of the smoke. He was very worried and panicking when thinking about his mate. He could still feel his mate through their bond and he know hes fine but he could also feel his mate distressed with immense fear. He was worried for his mate and their unborn child. What if they were hurt.

As he walked towards his cabin he was shocked. His tears started flowing down and he trembled in fear. He could not believe his eyes. There was once standing his massive cabin and now it was fully engulfed in flames and no sight of his mate. He cried "YUNLANNNNN"
