Chapter 37

Yunlan's life was hard he was too much in pain. He had back ache, his legs were swollen. He was so big that he could not even see his feet. He was near to his due date now. He was lounging on the sofa with legs sprawled on Shen wei and he was giving a feet massage to his mate to ease the discomfort. Shen wei was watching the TV when he switched it to the news channel and they heard a news. Yunlan and Shen wei were shocked to know that Wen Chao had committed suicide in his mansion.

After Zhu Jui's death Wen Chao had gone crazy and had mental issues which led him to finally commit suicide to release himself from the pain of losing his son. They were not sad because of the news, infact they were relieved that they do not have any dangers in the future because of this man.
Shen wei shifted his attention to his mate, he could feel his mate was agitated and something was bothering him.

"You feeling okay, Kitten?"

I asked Yunlan who was laying down with his hands covering his swollen belly. He had been restless for an hour or so.

"I don't know..." He moaned as he rubbed circles on his belly.

"What's wrong? What are you feeling right now? Are they more false contractions?"

I leaned up and placed my left hand on his lower belly and my right hand cupping his cheek lightly. Yunlan had been getting false contractions all weekend.

"I can't tell. These feel cliff..."

Yunlan tensed up and drew his knees up to his chest and pressed down as he grabbed his belly and curled around.

"Ahhhh." Yunlan moaned. "Hospital, NOW."

I hopped up and rushed to grab the bag for the hospital that sat by the door. Flinging the door open and rushing to the car I threw the bag in the backseat where the baby carrier had been secured for a week now. I ran back inside to find Yunlan clinging to the sofa cushion for dear life.

"Baby, we need to go. Come on, this is it love." I reached for his hands and shoulder to help him up.

"No, no not yet...I can't Wei." Yunlan teared up and refused to get up, shaking his head.

"We don't have a choice, love. I know you're scared Yunlan, I'm scared too but Kitten we've waited month's for this day and we will be so happy. Now either get up when this contraction passes or I'll carry you out, we have to go."

I kneeled down beside him and dried his tears. "I don't want to go to the hospital though."

Yunlan cried harder, breaking my heart so that tears filled my own eyes briefly.
"I know you don't love but this is important, you have to go."

I held his hands once again and tried to help him up as slowly as I could. I shook my head to stop my tears, keeping a brave face for his mate.

"How are you feeling? Can you walk?"

I asked as he got up. He just nodded and held my hand tightly as I wrapped one arm around his waist Yunlan and we walked towards our car.

"Wei, lets not go to the hospital" he said as I sat him in the passenger seat, he shook his head and tried to get out again.

"No, we can't, Kitten. You know just as well as I do that another contraction will come and another and another."

I shook my head and closed his door, rushing around to the drivers side.
"But my water hasn't even broke yet! Can't we wait a little longer?!" Yunlan was so frightened.

"Yunlan. There is nothing to be worried about. I'll be with you all day and I'll help you through this, okay?"

I held his hand and pulled out of the driveway and down the street to the hospital.
