My precious "MATE"

Chapter 20

It had been a month after the incident in the theater. He had forgotten all about it. He was in his end of 10th grade, he needed money so he decided to do a part time work at a convenience store. It had been few weeks after he started working there. It took him many days to convince his dad to let him work. Eventually his father gave in.
One day he was working in the store and bell rang indicating a customer coming in the store. I was immersed in comic books that I did not notice who came in.

Then I heard a voice "Hey darling, what a surprise to see you here. I did not know you were working here"

I looked at him and tilted my head in confusion "Sorry Sir, do I know you?"

The customer smirked "My name is Zhu jui and this here is my friend Ding Dun"

I looked at him "Hello! I am sorry if we met somewhere I do not remember who you are"

"How can you forget such a handsome man like me. Do you remember a month ago you spilled the coke on my expensive shirt and ran away without paying for it. I think you should pay back now"

I got very angry when I remembered what happened a month ago "YOU!".

I immediately calmed down he was a customer here and could not drive him out of here. "Buy whatever you wanted from here and leave"

"Are you for sale, I want to buy you. How much do you cost" he asked standing as a high and mighty.

"Stop talking nonsense, if you are not buying anything here, get out before I call the cops"

Zhu Jui gritted his teeth, Ding Dun dragged him away "Jui, we cannot afford to face the cops now or our parents will kill us. Why not take him out when he leaves the convenience store". Zhu Jui nodded and they left the place giving a warning.

I knew something was not going to go well so I called my Jie Jie to come pick me up after my shift. As I sat in the car, I saw Zhu Jui and Ding Dun standing in an alley. I knew they were waiting for me. I did not tell Jie Jie what was wrong, may be that was my biggest mistake.

After few weeks I started feeling myself being watched and followed not only at my work but also in the school and my house. I could feel someone watching me through my window, I would see shadows in our garden area. Maybe I was just hallucinating because if someone was really there, my dad and Jie Jie would have caught them through their scent.

Then one day the feeling of being watched stopped. I felt safer now, Jie Jie would always come to pick me up after the work. But that day she had a date with her mate-to-be and I had to walk home alone. I was waiting for the next employee to take the position. I packed my stuffs and left the store.

I was feeling uneasy and scared, I dismissed the thoughts and started walking faster to reach home early. The place I work at is really scary, it has lots of alley's if someone would be kidnapped here no one will know about it. There are no camera's here either as the previous ones are currently not working.
As I was walking faster as possible, I was suddenly pulled into one of the alley and pushed to the wall. I was terrified I could not see the person who pulled me in but I could smell his scent and I was scared it was that Zhu Jui.

"Gege, how long are you going to sulk on your own. Can't you forget what happened and talk normally with me"

"You want me to forget, you ate my favorite pudding from the fridge which I had kept to eat it myself"

"Come on Gege, I ate because I was hungry"
