The weekend had finally come, and Yunlan was nervous. He had stopped throwing up, and feeling like overall shit with the pills Dr Kairi had given him. Yunlan had spent the days leading to now planning and planning. He had finally figured out what to do, which is just a simple dinner. He'll cook, and they'll eat, Shen wei will have wine (Yunlan needs the man as relaxed as possible), then He'll drop the bomb.

Yunlan knows that Shen wei has been worried about him, and can smell the nervousness from a mile away. Shen wei didn't ask, though, opting to wait for the younger to come to him. Yunlan honestly appreciates that, and loves that about the alpha. It's one of his favorite things about Shen wei.

As of now, Yunlan had said the maids that he would like to prepare dinner for his mate. He asked Shen wei and the maid to not step foot into the kitchen until he was done. Shen wei begrudgingly listened to him and left the kitchen, giving Yunlan a kiss on the way out.

I planned a theme dinner for my husband. I made baby corn and carrots, baby back ribs, and for dessert I walked out with a big red bow around my belly, holding a small bowl of Sugar Babies.

Yunlan had wanted to do a thing where he put a pacifier in Shen wei's food or something of the sort, If the themed plan did not work out. The omega stared at the pacifier in his hand. He had boiled it earlier to disinfect it just in case he wanted to go through with it.

In the end, he decided fuck it and planned to put the thing in the basket of breadrolls. After about an hour, dinner was finally done, and set up on the dining table. He called Shen wei into the room, and the Alpha took a seat, complimenting his work.

"Everything looks so good, baby. There are baby corn and carrots, baby back ribs which are my favorites. You have really outdone yourself." Shen wei said bewildered "But why are you wearing a red bow? What's the special occasion?"

Shen wei started piling food onto Yunlan's plate, then did the same with his after Yunlan took the first bite.

"Oh, nothing special. You've just been stressed this week, and I'm sure my sickness only made it worse for you. I'm sorry, babe."

Yunlan reached for Shen wei's empty hand, and gently squeezed. He was honestly apologetic for adding onto Shen wei's stress. He's sure the alpha being away from his sick omega is maddening.

Shen wei frowned and kissed Yunlan hand. "Don't be sorry, baby. It's fine. It's my job to always worry about my mate. You are my everything"

"You don't need to. I'm fine, promise."

They smiled at each other and continued eating. They talked about anything and nothing at all, just enjoying each other's company. Yunlan knew Shen wei could not guess his baby themed dinner nor the red bow around him. So, now the pacifier is the only surprise he is waiting for.

Shen wei went for a bread roll. Yunlan had froze, remembering he placed the pacifier right under the roll on top to ensure Shen wei would see it. Yunlan's scent changed at that moment, and he's sure Shen wei noticed it too. Except, Shen wei wasn't looking at his husband anymore. No, his eyes were glued to the pale, yet bright yellow pacifier sitting nice and pretty on top of the other bread rolls.

"Yeah, hey uh Yunlan. What the fuck does that mean?" Shen wei didn't sound angry, not at all. just thoroughly confused. Yunlan found it a little funny, to be honest.

"What do you think is this dinner and that pacifier Wei?" Yunlan bored his eyes on Shen wei.

Shen wei stood up and leaned on the table with a calculative look. His wire's were whirring inside his head connecting all the dots. Then it clicked his head like a light bulb.
