"Astrid! What the fuck, where are—"
"Hello?" This was a guy's voice, definitely not Astrid's.
"Sino ka?! Ano'ng ginawa mo kay Astrid?!"
I didn't know if I was that drunk, but I saw a guy on the screen instead of Astrid. Both of us were stunned for a few seconds, unsure of what to do or say in this very awkward situation. I was beginning to worry, maybe something was wrong. How did he have Astrid's phone? Was Astrid with him? Who was he? So many questions flooded my mind that my head started to physically hurt as if it wasn't.
"Wait Sino? Uhm, I think I should be asking you that question, miss." The guy raised his brow.
"Wait, wait, who are you nga? Why do you have my friend's phone?" I countered.
"I think you have the wrong number. I don't know an Astrid nor do I know you."
I could feel the blood rushing to my face, quite embarrassed. Papatayin ko talaga si Tom.
"Wait, so Astrid isn't with you?" I wanted to mentally and physically slap myself. Kasasabi nga niya na hindi 'to number ni Astrid. Napakatanga mo minsan, Nina. Sometimes my mouth and brain don't coordinate and the former does whatever it wants. Just like now.
"Uh . . . no. Sorry. I hope you find her, though."
"Hala, sorry! Thank you! Sorry ulit. B-Bye." I didn't give him a chance to say anything more and quickly ended the call. I didn't think I hadn't been this embarrassed in my whole life. Because of the alcohol, it took a while for me to process what just happened, standing outside, frozen as I recounted everything. "Hala! Ataya bogoa nako oy." Hala! Ang bobo ko talaga.
I facepalmed. Aray. Pero mas bobo si Tom. Siya talaga ang may kasalanan nito. I couldn't even look at my phone without cringing and squirming at how embarrassed I was with myself. Medyo guwapo pa naman 'yong guy. The only thing comforting me right now was the fact that the odds of us meeting were super slim. Thank God no one else was around to witness it.
I walked back inside . . . again. Ready to fight Tom and Josh. Basically looking for someone to blame. I mean, totoo naman talaga. Hindi ko kasalanan ang nangyari.
"Hi, sorry, puwede favor?" I batted my eyelashes as I interrupted Josh and Tom's little moment. Dahil sinira n'yo gabi ko, sisirain ko moment n'yo! Joke. Kinda.
Josh raised his brow at me, as if waiting for me to continue. Ang maldita talaga nito kahit kailan. "Puwedeng next time, 'yung saktong number naman ibigay mo sa 'kin? Nahiya naman ako sa wrong number na binigay mo, bes." Super hilaw ng smile ko with matching hilaw na tawa sa dulo.
Josh's expression softened as he turned to his boyfriend. Tom took a while to respond, stunned at what I said. Parang late reaction lahat ng tao ngayon, ah. "Dude, shit. Sorry. Here, let me check and retype it." He stuck his hand out to ask for my phone. I stared at him for a second, slowly giving him my phone. "I'll be out of your hair in no time, I promise. Alam kong uhaw na uhaw na 'tong si Josh."
"Makuha ka sa tingin, Korine." Narrowing his eyes on me. I smiled teasingly at him before glancing back at Tom who seemed to carefully check the number he typed over and over again.
