I walk down to the pond and looked into the pond. "That's not our dad. That's just my reflection." I said with tears starting to form in my eyes. "Why don't you look harder?" Jayden asked. "I took a deep breath, wiped my eyes, and looked into the pond again. "See? He lives in you." Jayden said as I saw my reflection turn into my dad's reflection. People have always told me that I look just like my dad. Then our dad shows up in a huge cloud. "Ariel." Stephen said. "Dad?" I asked as I looked up into the sky. "Ariel, you have forgotten me." He said. "No, how could I?" I said. "You have forgotten who you are and so forgotten me. Look inside yourself Ariel, you are more than what you have become. You have to prepare for the final battle." Stephen said. "How am I supposed to do that? I don't even know what to expect." I said. "Remember who you are, you are my daughter, and the one that can finish the battle. Remember who you are." Stephen said as he faded away. "No, please, don't leave me." I said. "Remember." Stephen said again. "Dad." I said. "Remember." Steven said while still fading away. "Don't leave me." I said. "Remember." He said before fading away completely. Then Jayden walked up to me. "What was that? The weather, very peculiar, don't you think?" He asked. "Yeah, it's like the winds are changing." I said. "Change is good." Jayden said. "Yeah but it's not easy. I know what I have to do but doing this battle means I'm gonna have to improve my skills. I have been putting the training off for so long." I said. Then Jayden hit me on the head with a stick he found. "Ow! Geez, what was that for?" I asked. "It doesn't matter, it's in the past." Jayden said. "Yeah, but it still hurts." I said as I rubbed the top of my head. Then I looked at my hand to see if there was any blood. "The past can hurt. But the way I see it you can ither run from it, or, learn from it." Jayden said before trying to hit me on the head again and me dodging it. "You see? So what are you going to do?" Jayden asked. "First, I'm going to take your stick." I said before grabbing the stick and throwing it into some grass nearby. "No no no, not the stick." Jayden said as he picked it up. He noticed me going back in the direction we came from. "Hey, where are you going?" He asked. "Back to the house. You coming?" I asked. "Yeah." He said as he followed me. The next day I had some moves that I wanted to practice. The final battle is coming whether I wanted it or not. It also depended on if I was ready for it or not. I was practicing the moves with some help from Jayden. "Nice moves but don't always stay on the defensive side. Sometimes you have to be on the offensive side." Jayden said. "That's very true." John said while coming outside. The next day I decided that the only way to get close enough to Decker is to kill his followers first. "Are you sure about doing this on your own?" Jayden asked. "Jayden, it's the only way to make Decker weaker. His followers have been keeping him really strong." I said. "Lone wolf spirit." Jayden said under his breath. "What was that?" I asked. "Nothing." Jayden said. "Okay." I said while backing out of the room. The next day I go out to fight Decker's followers by myself.
Meanwhile back at the shiba house John was talking to Jayden. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Not really." Jayden said. "Hey, she'll be just fine." John said. "I know. I guess I'm just afraid that she'll get hurt." Jayden said. "Look, I don't want her to get hurt either but she has the spirit and strength of a lone wolf." John said. "Wait, how do you know that?" Jayden asked. "Because, after she was at the foster home for a few days I saw her turn into a wolf. When she tried to attack me I pushed her to the ground and held her there before she turned back into herself." John said. "That only happens when she gets mad. When she got mad she would turn into a wolf. Sometimes, I tried to calm her down myself but failed every time." Jayden said. "I wish I could have been there to help you." John said. Two hours later I came back. "Hey, so, are Decker's followers destroyed?" Jayden asked. "Only half of them." I said. Later that night I walked outside and saw the moon. I went into my wolf form and howled at the moon. Jayden saw that happen. After I howled at the moon I turned back into myself and went to bed for the night. The next morning I was practicing some moves that I have been thinking about using to take the rest of Decker's followers down. While I was training John snuck up behind me and scared me with the weeping angel thing. "Don't blink, don't even blink, blink and your dead. They are fast, faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink. And also that what holds the image of an angle becomes itself an angle. The second part anything that takes the image of an angle is an angle." John said as he came up behind me. I turned to face him. "Damn you John, it's not funny." I said as he was laughing. "What, did I scare you?" John asked. "Yeah." I said. "Sorry, what are you doing?" John asked. "Just a few moves that I can use against the other half of Decker's followers." I said. I expected him to catch on to what I was trying to say. "Okay, can you show me the moves that you were working on?" John asked. "Sure." I said. I showed him the moves that I was working on and he told me that I should definitely use them to take the rest of Decker's followers down. The next day I decided to get John back for scaring me. I decided to prank him with the song baby shark by text.
Later that day I was working on my moves again. I thought that if I can improve my moves I would have a better chance of taking down Decker's followers.
