Chapter 30 Ariel & her friends become the new rangers

Jayden got hurt during the battle. "Ariel, are you okay with leading the team?" Jayden asked. "I was born ready." I said. Then I went into the megasword with the others. Kevin was about to use symbol power when I stopped him. "Wait, don't use symbol power yet." I said. "Why not?" Kevin asked. "We can't use it in small amounts, he'll win that way." I said before demorphing. "We have to demorph, and combine every last ounce of our symbol power into one grand strike. We can only beat him as a team." I said. "One attack?" Mike asked after he demorphed with Mia. "What if we miss?" Mia asked. "We have to get so close that we can't miss." I said. Then Emily and Kevin demorphed. "We have to do it, to save the world." Emily said. Then Antonio demorphed. "Sounds risky, and dangerous. Let's do it." Antonio said. "Remember, no matter what happens, we can not retreat. We have to keep going at all costs, even if we have one sword left. Everything is riding on this one attack." I said. "Right." The rest of the rangers said. "Okay then. Charge!" I said. We started to move towards Master Xandred. "So you're coming back for more eh?" Master Xandred said before hitting us with an attack. We lost some swords. "We just lost three of our swords." Kevin said. "Keep going, we still have eight of our swords left." I said. "You just don't know when to quit." Master Xandred said before hitting us with another attack. "We'll never quit." I said as Master Xandred launched attack after attack at us. "Almost there." Antonio said. "You're making this so easy." Master Xandred said before impaling the megasword with his sword. "We lost four swords." Kevin said. "Destroying you piece by piece." Master Xandred said. "Keep going." I said. "Are you really that determined to march to your own destruction?" Master Xandred said before launching another attack at us which made us lose our shield. "There goes our shield." Mia said. "Okay guys, this is it. I just want to say, that no red ranger has ever led a better team of samurai. I am honored to have fought beside you, and to call you my friends." I said. "I think, no, I know, we all feel the same way." Kevin said. "It all comes down to this. Now! Use all the symbol power you have left. It's go time!" I said as myself and the other rangers pulled out our swords. "Samurai strike!" All of us said. The attack hit Master Xandred. "Impossible, samurai rangers hear me now, you have won this battle but our quest to rule your world will never end. You may have defeated me, but the nighlok will rise again." Master Xandred said before exploding. Mentor Ji showed up a few minutes later with Jayden. "Rangers, you did it. You saved the world. The nighloks are defeated." Mentor Ji said. We walked over to him and Jayden. "I'm so proud of you sis. I couldn't have done it better myself." Jayden said. "I'm so proud of you all." Mentor Ji said. "Hey wait, say it one last time." Antonio said to me. "Let's say it together." I said. All of us put one of our hands in the center of the circle. Even Mentor Ji put his hand in. "Samurai rangers, victory is ours." We all said. Then we went back to the shiba house. Jayden and I met with Lauren. The next day everyone was leaving. Lauren was the first one to leave. The shiba fire disk helped a lot. Both me and Jayden hugged Lauren. "We couldn't have done it without you sis." Jayden said. "We wish that you could stay." I said. "Jayden, Ariel, we're a family again. You're going to see me plenty." Lauren said. Mentor Ji offered to help her with her bags. "Don't you want to say goodbye to the others?" Jayden asked. "I'm not very good at goodbyes or hellos sometimes. I just." Lauren said. "Don't worry, we'll take care of it." I said. Then she kissed me and Jayden on the cheek. Then she left and Jayden went back to his room to organize his stuff. As Lauren was walking out, "Hey, see you soon." I said. The others walk up to me. "Hey Ariel, I scored the golden ticket, an around the world fishing exhibition. This is a trip of a lifetime. I'm going to catch fish nobody's ever heard of." Antonio said. "Sounds fishy, in a good way." Mia said. "How about you Mia?" I asked. "I'm going to the culinary academy." Mia said. "Thank you." Mike whispered. "No comments please." Mia said. "I didn't say anything." Mike said. "Well, I can take a hint but I'm going to study hard so when Antonio comes back with his rare and exotic fish, I'll turn it into a gourmet cuisine." Mia said. "Kevin, are you going back to the swim team?" I asked. "Well, I just caught up with my coach the other day and I just barely have enough time to train for the Olympic qualifying tournament. It's definitely going to be hard work." Kevin said. "But if anyone can do it you can." Emily said. "What about you Emily?" Kevin asked. Oh, no major plans. I'm just excited to go home and take care of my sister." Emily said. Mike was thinking about going with Emily, in case she needed help with something. Jayden met with us at that moment. "Come on, Mentor Ji is waiting." I said. We walked out and Mike asked what me and Jayden are going to do. "We really haven't thought about that." I said. "For the first time in our lives we're done with our samurai duties." Jayden said. "My place is here. The shiba house must always be ready for the next nighlok attack, even if it never comes." Mentor Ji said. "Well if there's any trouble you have my number." Antonio said. Then they left. "So, now what do we do?" Jayden asked. "I don't know about you but I was thinking about getting my friends to train for a while. You know, for the next attack, even if it never comes." I said. "Well, the bamboo needs pruning, and I need to restuff the practice dummy. But, I got you a victory gift." Mentor Ji said while getting a guitar out for Jayden. Jayden got me a guitar a few years ago. Mentor Ji finally gets to teach Jayden to have some fun. The next day my friends and I started our journey as power rangers.
