Chapter 28 Ariel's craziest idea

The next day I was helping Lauren with some training. Later that day I got a crazy idea to make a truth gummi. I decided to give it to John because lately I think that he is hiding something from me. Before I could give it to him Kelly, who is the cat ate the truth gummi. "Man, that thing was nasty." Kelly said while looking at me. Then she turned to John. "And you, you just gotta man up, and while you're at it scratch my butt." Kelly said. "You heard her, scratch her butt." I said before turning away and walking out. As I was walking out, "Ariel, you're just gonna leave me with her?" John said. "Come on, you scratch your own all the time." Kelly said. The next day I was training outside when John walked up to me. "So, you still want me to take down my dad by myself?" John asked. "I've been thinking about that and I no longer think that you should fight him by yourself. I think that maybe, I should help you." I said. "Ariel, are you crazy? You might get hurt, or even worse, killed. This is your craziest idea yet." John said. "John, I'm serious. You might get killed if you fight him by yourself. I can't let that happen." I said. "But if you do this with me you might get hurt or killed." John said. "John, listen to me, if I get killed just remember that I will be with you in spirit, forever and always." I said. The next day John and I went out to take down Decker. While we were fighting I somehow got an attack sent right back at me. It was so powerful that it flung me against a big boulder. Then the boulder started to roll towards me. I started to run away from it when I finally remembered what happened the last time but the only problem is that this is not the dream world, it's the real world. I have to figure out some way to not get rolled over by the boulder. That's when I finally remembered that I learned a move from Jason that would be used to break rocks. It took a strong and experienced ranger to do it right. The ranger that does it has to be skilled at it. I did the move that I learned from Jason and I broke the boulder into some smaller rocks. Then I ran back over to John to help him fight Decker. We managed to destroy him. The next day I was walking around town when I came across Decker's sword. "What? This is his sword but, why would it be here if he is dead. I don't understand this." I said to myself. I thought about leaving it there but then I decided to take it with me, out of fear that the nighloks would take it back with them. Later that night I had a feeling that John was going to ask me about the sword. After he asked me about the sword I decided to look into the history behind the sword. "Wait, that sword looked familiar. Where have I seen it before?" I asked myself. Then I finally remembered where I have seen it. There was a dream that I had that somehow crossed over into one of Dayu's past dreams. It was not a dream for Dayu because it actually happened to her. Mia saw the same thing. "Wait, Dayu and Decker were married? That's wack." I said to myself. The next day I told John what I found out. "Okay, but that doesn't explain why or how he knew Dayu." John said. "I think that he went into the netherworld and met Dayu again." I said. The next day I was training with the others when the gap sensor goes off. "Ugh, don't tell me, another nighlok attack." I said. "Yep." Lauren said. Mentor Ji came outside and told us that the nighlok attack was at the northern peninsula construction site. "Not that place again." I said. "What's wrong with that place?" John asked. "I'll tell you later. For now, we have a nighlok to take down. Let's go rangers!" I said. We run into the nighlok and fought it for a while. After a while the nighlok deflected my attack right back at me. The attack hit me and it caused me to go into a coma once again. I had no idea that it was so powerful. The other rangers take the nighlok down. I heard the explosion of the nighlok and then everything went silent. "Guys, I'm going to take her to the hospital." Lauren said. "Okay, I guess I'll watch the kids. Just keep me updated with her condition, okay?" John asked. "Okay." Lauren said. Lauren took me to the hospital and decided to stay with me. As soon as we got to the hospital I was able to hear her. She told me that she won't leave my side unless she has to get something to eat, something to drink, or use the restroom. The last time I had a near death experience I didn't know if I was going to give my last breath. If I was to give my last breath John would be really devastated.

The next day Lauren actually gave me permission to die, just like Mia's grandfather did in if I stay.

"I want you to live, I want that more than anything in this world. I want you to fight like hell to stay with us. But with mom and dad dead and Jayden living somewhere else it might not be what you want it might be too hard for you to keep fighting. So, if you want to go, I want you to know it's okay. It's okay, I understand if you want to go, and be with mom and dad again." Lauren said. I'm not fighting just because Lauren wants me to, I'm fighting, so that I can stay with my older brother and sister. Eventhough my brother doesn't live at the shiba house anymore. I'm also fighting to stay with my friends, John, and my kids. If I died I know exactly how Jayden would feel. I don't want to die because I know that Jayden would blame himself for it. I really don't want Jayden to feel responsible for my death if I die. I always felt like I couldn't breathe without him, especially after Jason died.

It was like there was a bond between us that can't be broken, no matter how bad the fights got between us.
