Chapter 22 The battle ends

Decker pulled my heart out of my chest and tried to crush it. "No, why won't you die?" Decker said before dropping my heart. "Because her heart is stronger than you think." Alyssa said as she walked in. "Alyssa, what are you doing here?" I asked. "You don't have to be afraid of being alone because you never have been. Look, their song was inside you the whole time." Alyssa said while showing me a page of a story that my parents were in. Then she played part of if only. "It's not your weakness, it's your strength." Alyssa said. Then I sang my theme.

"Looks like I'm not alone anymore." I said before Alyssa put my heart back in my chest. "You should have done this the easy way, cause the flood is still coming and the final battle is going to be worse than you can possibly imagine." Decker said before disappearing. "Looks like my dreams became reality." I said to myself. Then Jayden and Lauren came over to me and hugged me. "How did you do it?" Lauren said. "It's the song that mom and dad gave me." I said. "What do you mean, what song?" Jayden asked. "The song doesn't matter, what matters is that you were with me, you've been with me my whole life." I said. Then I ran up to John and hugged him. He hugged me back. A few days later the flood happened and it swept me away. "This is it, Decker is so going down." I said to myself after getting swept away. Then I go to fight Decker by myself and I told myself that I will do whatever it takes to take him down.

I run into Decker and start to fight him. As I am fighting him I remember the moves that I have been practicing. I fight Decker and destroy his nighlok side. His human side is all that's left. The flood was cleared up within a few minutes due to gaps. He fades away and after I demorphed I went into a coma. John finds me a few minutes later and took me to the hospital. Jayden and Lauren came with him. They somehow saw Decker fade away. All I could hear was the voices of everyone around me. I heard Jayden's voice first. "Hey Ariel, I have something to tell you. Thanks for being the best little sister that I could have ever asked for." Jayden said. After that I really couldn't hear anything. I somehow met my guardian angel which just happens to be my ex-boyfriend Brent. "Wh-where am I?" I asked as I looked around. Then I saw an alicorn. "Hello, Ariel." Brent said. "Brent, where am I? What is this place?" I asked. "I can't tell you that. But one of these days I will." He said. Then he sent me back down to earth. I was out for six months. When I woke up I saw Jayden, Lauren, and John. They stayed with me the whole time and never left my side except to get something to eat, get something to drink, and to use the restroom but other than that they didn't leave my side. Some time later I was working on something when John walked up to me. "Hey." He said. "Hey." I said as I looked up from what I was working on. "So, you getting swept away from us, that must have been his plan all along." John said. "I destroyed his nighlok side." I said. Then I remembered when Jason died and how sad Tommy was. I was really sad too. Then I remembered the phone call between Tommy and Kimberly when Jason died.

Later that night Jason came to me in my dream. "Ariel, what are you running from?" Jason asked. "I don't know." I said. "You have to confront what it is that you are running from. What are you running from? Is it someone you love? Ariel, come on, tell me. It's your old pal, Jason." Jason said. "Well, it's complicated." I said. "Complicated how? Are you running away from John and your kids? Ariel please tell me the truth." Jason said. "I'm not running from them. I've been getting lots of memories, the one I just can't forget is the one of you dying. I just can't seem to let go of that one. I was hoping that maybe you can tell me how to let go of it." I said. "Well, the only way to let go of it is to be with people you love and who care about you. Look, you have people that care about you and don't worry, I'll always be here for you, I'll be watching out for you. All you have to do is believe that I will always be here for you. I'll be in your heart, forever and always." Jason said. "You really mean that Jason?" I asked. "Yes, I really mean it. I love you, you're like a little sister to me. Come here, give me a hug." Jason said. He hugged me and I hugged him back. "I love you Ariel, you are really like a little sister to me. I love you and I'll be in your heart, and John will be here for you. And he will help you in any way you need him. Besides, John is a good person. He is a good person for you to be with." Jason said. "Shut it Jason, you made me blush." I said. "Okay, little sis. I'll shut it. So, are you ready to go back to John?" Jason asked. I took a deep breath. "Yeah." I said. "Love you sis. Tell John that I said hi." Jason said. "Okay, I love you big bro." I said. Then he left. I woke up after that. John came into my room. "Good morning Ariel." He said. "Good morning." I said. "How did you sleep?" John asked. "Good." I said. "That's good, any good dreams?" He asked. "John, do you ever see someone who you know is dead in your dreams?" I asked. "Not really, why?" John asked. "Because, last night, Jason came to me in my dream and told me that I have to confront something that I am running from but it's almost like I can't let go of my memories. Especially this one of him dying. He said that the only way I can let go of it is to be around people that I love and who care about me. Before I woke up he told me to tell you that he says hi." I said.
