A/N - Okay, so I use some not very nice language in this chapter when someone talks about y/n in a rumour. I hope it doesn't bother anyone! Okay onto this chapter!
I was frozen, still in Sirius' arms as we turned to see none other than Professor McGonagall. 'Mr Black, I recommend that you tear yourself away from Miss Diggory. I need to have a talk with you, Mr Porter, Mr Lupin and Mr Pettigrew.' McGonagall said, clearly uncomfortable. 'Y-Yes, sorry Professor!' I said, pulling away from Sirius. 'Can't it wait a few minutes, Purrfessor?' Sirius asked, I giggled when he said 'Purrfessor' he was always making jokes about McGonagall being a cat animagus. I had honestly thought of becoming an animagus myself, but it was risky. 'Professor, once you've finished talking with the boys, would I be able to have a word with you?' I asked, nervously. I actually really wanted to become an animagus. 'Yes, of course Miss Diggory. Now, Mr Black, come with me.' Sirius nodded and followed McGonagall out, giving my hand a tight squeeze before leaving.
I decided to sit back on the couch when my owl flew in, dropping the school paper in my lap. I laughed and picked it up, giving my owl a piece of bread I had. I picked up the paper to see the photo of Sirius and I..on the front page?!? What on earth?! The title of the article was 'HOGWARTS PLAYER - SIRIUS BLACK - CAUGHT WITH RANDOM GIRL IN THE GRYFFINDOR COMMON ROOM' Random girl?! Oh my Godric. 'I'm going to hex that Lucia I swear..' I mumbled. The portrait swung open and Lily walked in, holding a copy of the paper. 'Have you seen this?' She asked calmly. 'Yep, I don't really care though. Soon enough people will realise I'm not a 'random girl' and I'm actually his girlfriend.' I smirkeded. Lily burst out laughing when I did. After a few minutes of talking, Professor McGonagall walked in with the boys. 'Miss Diggory, you wanted a word?' I nodded and followed the Professor outside. 'So, Miss Diggory. How can I help one of my top students?' McGonagall smiled at me. She always had a soft spot for the marauders, Lily and I. 'Well Professor, I was wondering.. would I be able to become an animagus? A registered one of course! I'm very good at potions and I'm confident I'd be able to brew the potion and-' McGonagall cut me off. 'This isn't because of Mr Lupin, is it?' She raised her eyebrow at me. 'Why would it be because of Remus?' I asked, very confused by the question. 'Oh, never mind dear. Well, if you wish I could assist you. I will talk to all your professors and inform them not to ask you to talk with the mandrake leaf in your mouth. Luckily for you, there's a lightning storm set to happen next month so you should be all set!' McGonagall smiled. 'Thank you so much Professor! I'll start brewing the potion right away!' I said turning to head into the common room again. 'Miss Diggory, I think you should ask Mr Potter and Mr Black for assistance with the potion, I believe they would be a great help to you!' McGonagall smiled as she left the hallway. Sirius and James, helpful with a potion? Ha! I thought as I headed back into the common room.
'Jamie, Siri, can I talk with you two for a minute?' I asked as I walked back in. 'Sure babe! Come on Prongs!' Sirius said as he pulled James by the wrist to a corner of the common room. 'So, wassup?' James asked. 'Okay, Professor McGonagall said I should ask you guys for help because I want to brew an animagus potion so I can become an animagus!' I smiled brightly. The two boys looked at me in shock, I saw worry and sadness in Sirius' eyes along with the shock. 'But that means mandrake leaf in your mouth for a month which means-' Sirius started and was cut off by James 'you two can't be sat snogging for a whole month!' James bent over laughing while clutching his sides. 'Siri, I can still give you kisses just no snogging, don't worry.' I laughed. 'Okay we can help, but there's something you need to promise.' James said wearily. 'And that is?' I asked. 'On a full moon, never go near the shrieking shack or the whomping willow in your animagus form. Never, ever!' James said, Sirius nudged him. 'Why not?' I sighed. 'You just can't babe, it's dangerous. We tried it once, didn't go-' I cut Sirius off. 'You tried it? You're animagi?!?' I exclaimed. Of course! That's why McGonagall suggested they help me! I thought. 'Shh! Yes we are! Don't let it slip though! We aren't registered!' Sirius whispered. 'I won't tell a soul, my dear Sirius' I said, in a serious tone. 'Okay, we can brew the potion for you so it's easier for you with only having to deal with the mandrake leaf.' James said as he nodded to Sirius. 'The full moon is in two days so put it in your mouth as soon as the moon is up.' I nodded as Sirius gave me my instructions. The three of us walked back over to the couch, where many people now were. 'Black, how could you?!' Hissed a girl from Gryffindor I didn't recognise. 'Poor Marlene!' Another yelled. 'What are you lot on about?' I asked, very confused. 'You! How could you do that to your best friend! Rumour has it, Marlene and Sirius were together when you stole him from her!' A girl hissed at me. Rumours. Just great. I thought. 'No I didn't. Sirius and Marlene dated a whole year ago.' I sighed, as I felt Sirius hold my waist tightly. 'I'm quite tired, I'm going to go to my dorm. See you later Sirius' I smiled. 'But I want to spend time with youuuu!' Sirius said 'please? So we can have long conversations before you can barely talk because of a mandrake leaf?' Sirius whispered into my ear. 'You are such a pain sometimes, Black. Where are we going?' I laughed. 'My dorm. Let's go!' Sirius said as he grabbed my wrist, keeping his other arm on my waist and pulled me up the stairs to the boys dorms.
