WARNING: SWEARING
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Selo practically dissolved out of the portal when she fell out of the sky. She looked towards the ground, which was covered in tall buildings and people. Everyone looks different, she realized. None of them looked like her though. Then her eyes widened. She looked at her hands, in which the fingertips were tipped white and pointed. When- That's when she hit the ground. She didn't break any bones or get extremely injured, since she has no bones to begin with. But it still hurt like carp. She looked around, realizing people were staring. How couldn't they? A random octoling Lieutenant just fell from the sky! She went to stand, realizing her ink tank and octo shot cracked from the fall. "Shit." The People around her looked at her confused. To them, what came out of her mouth was gibberish. "Ma'am, are you okay?" Selo didn't react, instead focusing on figuring out how to fix the ink tank. "Ma'am?" Selo then turned to the noise, her tentacles whipping around with her head. She didn't know what they said, but they seemed to be talking to her. "Are you okay?" Selo looked at them confused as she took in the person. They had unkempt green hair and large green eyes, his face dusted with freckles. Their face looked worried. "I don't understand." Selo said, the boy seeming confused. "I don't understand you..." They stared at eachother awkwardly, the crowd dispersing. The boy then poked her tentacles, which made Selo frantic. She didn't want a stranger to touch her magenta tentacles! "Don't Touch!" She pulled her white tentacles away. Wait... their white? THEIR WHITE AAAAAAAAAAH! She didn't realize she said that aloud. The boy could clearly tell she was freaking out. She stood up quickly and grabbed the boy by the collar of his white button up shirt. "W-what the-!?" "YOU DID THIS TO MY TENTACLES DIDN'T YOU!? TURN THEM BACK!!" The boy looked back into her anger filled eyes. He was startled, to say the least. "Midoriya!" Someone else called to him. Selo could care less, she just wanted her tentacles to be magenta again. "Get off him!" "I can't understand you!!" The brown haired girl pulled Selo off, and Selo remembered her weapon. She held up her Octo Shot, her hands now trembling. "Change me back!!" The girl took note of Selo's trembling and took her hands in hers. Selo finally relaxed. "Can you understand me?" Selo looked at her, scared and confused. The girl sighed and motioned for the boy to help her. "Where am I..." Selo looked around. Uruaka tapped her shoulder, motioning her towards her face. "My... Name... Is... U-ru-ra-ka." The girl spoke slowly, hoping Selo would understand. Selo began to try and speak. "Ur...ka..." "Close enough!!" "Cl...ose... nough..." Selo continued to repeat Uruaka's words, as she can not speak on her own. Her words continued to come out garbled, no matter how hard they tried. Uruaka then pointed to the green haired boy, who's name seemed to he Midoriya. "This is Midoriya. Mi-dor-i-ya!" "Mid...ri...a..." Uruaka then pointed at Selo. "Name?" "N...ame... " Selo then pointed at herself. "Se...lo..." "Selo? That's a weird name..." "We...ird?" "How about Tako?" "Ta...ko..." Selo smiled at the name. She then took her weapons and ink tank and looked at them solemnly. Uruaka them grabbed Selo's hand. "Follow me!!" "Fo...low..?" Midoriya quickly runs after them, ignoring the traces of ink trailing on her foot.

The three of them then arrived at a giant building, with huge walls and gates in front of it. "This is U.A. High!" "U... A..?" "Yeah! You're catching on pretty quickly!" "Pre...tty..." Selo still didn't understand much of the human language, but she could tell pretty meant big and majestic, or just very. She had no clue what pretty meant, but she tried. "Follow me inside!" Uruaka attempted to use the same words again and again in order to help Selo understand. Selo was then pushed by Midoriya. "Yeah! Follow Uruaka, Tako!" Selo then walked after Uruaka, still holding her broken weapon and ammo storage. There was still some ink in the cracked inktank, so at least she could recharge. She then entered the building, continuing to follow Uruaka, Midoriya then split off to go talk to someone else. Uruaka then led Selo into a room full of machines and metal parts. It reminded Selo of someone, but they left the Octarian Army after a while. Selo wished she could've gone with them. "Tako! This is Majima-san!" "Ma...ji...a..." The man with what looked like construction equipment on his head held out his hand. "Pleasure meeting you Tako. How can I help?" Selo took his hand and shook it, like she would in important meetings between squads. "Pleasure is all mine Majia." Majima looked at Selo, confused. "Ah, she doesn't speak Japanese. Or any human language, for that matter." "I see. Well, how can I help you?" "It seems her support items are broken." Uruaka motioned for Selo to show her ink tank and her octo shot. Selo sighed and showed it to him. He looked at the items, perplexed. "I'm sorry, I dont know how to help you." Uruakas expression dropped, which caused Selo to assume the worst. Selo then turned to the spare parts and rummaged through them. "H-hey!! What the heck are you-" Selo turned and glared at Majima. She then pulled out some plastic and metal. She then grabbed a blowtorch and got to work. She fused the plastic and metal with the ink tank, fixing it. She then repaired the octo shot as well. Uruaka and Majima both looked at her, amazed. "How... what!?" "All of that in 15 minutes... impressive." "It's simple really. I just needed to fix some cracks in my ink tank and weaponry and..." Selo went on and on while Majima and Uruaka listened blindly. "Tako..." Selo looked up. "We can't understand." "Oh." Selo was getting a better grasp on the human language. She was a fast learner. She then looked around for paper and a pencil. She grabbed the materials and started sketching out blueprints for another weapon, writing in octoling. It was overly detailed, but in the end it looked like an over sized paint brush. "Make... me..?" She picked up and pointed at the paper. Majima nodded. "I'll do what I can." Uruaka and Selo we're ecstatic. Uruaka was happy because Selo was happy, and Selo was happy because she could traverse the city and school quickly. She then grabbed her octo shot and her ink tank then went to leave the room. "Wait!" Selo turned to face Uruaka. "Will you stay at U.A.?" "St...ay..?" "You can use the support course materials!" "Mat...er...als..." Selo looked at the metal around the room. She could use this more often? Great! "O...Kay..." "Great! I'll talk to Principal Nezu about it!" "Prin...cipal... Ne...z?" Was a principal like a general or commander? "Is a general a principal?" Uruaka laughed. "No!" Wait, could she understand me?

Uruaka couldn't understand Selo, but she could infer that what she thought a principal was wasn't it.
Selo remembered studying human books when she was training in the Octarian army, but she never thought to remember most of what she learned.
Midoriya already came up with a name for Selo's "quirk", octopus. The user has features much like an octopus, such as tentacles for hair. The liquid in their "tank" has an unknown use, as well as the weapon.
