WARNING: SWEARING
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Awake again. Selo stares at the ceiling of the Midoriya household as she got up. The stretched then quickly put on her uniform. The day of the festival was upon them, and she was ready. She was actually kind of excited for it. She finally got to fight them in combat, what better way to spend her time? It reminded her of home. She stuffed her octo shot and ink bombs in the suitcase Midoriya got for her. Just in case. She thought. She was going to win this thing.
"Izu!" She called out to Midoriya, who was still asleep in his room. He shot up, startled.
"Wh-what is it Tako?"
"U.A." Midoriya got out of his bed frantically and dashed to his closet to put on his uniform. Selo had left the room at this point. Inko was standing by the door as Midoriya came out of his room.
"Midoriya, Tako... good luck!" Selo nodded. Midoriya seemed like he was on the verge of tears.
"Thank you mom!"
"We'll do our best Inko." Selo and Midoriya started their walk to U.A.

All of the girls started putting on their uniforms. Selo went into her locker and pulled out her Octo Brush.
"Hey Tako, Not using your paint gun this time?" The familiar pinkie asked. Selo shakes her head as she puts on her ink tank filled with green ink. "Isn't that the ink we made from my acid? How is it not melting the tank!?" Selo shrugs. This acidic ink would be best for combat purposes and distracting the opponent. They'll never know what hit them.
"Good luck... everyone." Selo, without a second glance, left the room only to encounter Nilotic. "I'm sure you have a basic understanding of Japanese, correct?" "I can manage. You don't need to be there during combat." "I understand." Nilotic went the other direction towards the stands. Selo went over to the doorway she would walk out of onto the fields with her classmates. She was the first one there. She smiled a bit, knowing she probably won't win this. She knew she had to do her best nonetheless. One by one her companions join the group. It was time.

Present Mic announced their entry, but Selo couldn't understand him the best. Everyone in the stands cheered. They cheered for her and her class. Present Mic continued to introduce the classes as everyone gathered around a stage with a giant screen on it. Midnight soon walked onto the stage. Selo didn't notice the various stares she received from other students due to the giant brush she had.
"The first round... will be a race!" A race-esque picture appeared on the screen. Selo understood and followed the other students. She placed her brush on the ground, the tip slightly inking the ground under her. A gunshot was fired and all of the students began to run. The air began to chill, which Selo intuitively knew it was Todoroki's doing. She didn't worry too much, and rode her brush. The ink melted the ice under her and left a clear path. She soon caught up with Todoroki.
"Tako. I will beat you." Todoroki challenged her. Selo didn't give him a second glance.
"Okay." Selo kept her focus on what's in front of her. That's when two giant robots appeared in front of her.
"IT'S THE ZERO POINTERS FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAM!" Selo shrugged. She didn't take the exam, not that she would've passed. She dunked into the ink to regenerate then jumped into the air, swinging her brush. She landed on the bot's shoulder and melted the shoulder, causing its arm to fall. Selo jumped off doing a landing roll when she reached the ground. She put her brush on the ground and kept going.
The next obstacle she had to cross was a pit with wires and stones allowing passage. As Selo thought, Todoroki slid past her on ice.
"Tch." Selo threw a bunch of bombs, which landed on several of the pillars, and shifted forms. She hopped from platform to platform in her octo form, which looked like white fading into the same green the ink was. People were trying to follow her, but couldn't due to the acidic properties. She made it to the other side, where there was a mine field. Todoroki was still in the lead, followed closely by Bakugo. How could she not notice him pass her!? Selo took a deep breath and put her brush down. She began to run, detonating several mines in the process. Due to this, her ink flew everywhere, detonating more mines. She saw the goal and was just a few feet away from everyone else. BANG! There was an explosion behind them. Selo looked into the air and saw none other than Midoriya. He jumped off of Todoroki and Bakugo, who Selo was now neck and neck with, and kept going. Selo put all of her energy into her legs and sled up just enough so that she could secure second place.
"Izu." She walked over to Midoriya.
"Oh! Hey Tako! You got second place, didn't you?" Selo nods.
"Good job Izu." Midoriya stood there for a second before his face flooded with red as he fell backwards. "Izu, are you okay?"
"Y-yeah I'm fine." Selo stood over him, staring him down skeptically before helping him up. The students, one by one, passed through the gates. Most of the students that came first seemed to be from 1A and 1B. Selo wasnt very surprised, since they were the hero courses. The top 42 students all gathered around the stage. Selo lagged behind a bit, since she dudnt quite understand what was being said. After a few moments of silence, people flooded around Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugo, and Selo. All of the questions were coming so fast she could barely understand. Someone then grabbed her wrist. She turned only to be met with violet eyes. They belonged to a boy with purple hair, who oddly resembled Aizawa.
"Will you join my team?" Selo looks at him, then looks over at Bakugo, who was staring her down. She shook her head and broke from his grip, quickly making her way over to Bakugo.
"Took you long enough Octo Extra."
"Not an extra Katsu."
"What- WHAT THE HELL DID YOU CALL ME!?"
"Katsu. Easy to... say."

1st Person POV, Bakugo
She gave me a fucking nickname. I mean I like it, but seriously!?
"Tch, whatever. Come on, we have to get ready." I walk over to the rest. I sat at the top, of course. I'll always be at the top. And since I'm here, I'll protect Tako with everything I've got.
