—————
Y/n POV✨
—————When I woke up, my head was pounding. It felt like a part of me was missing, like half a my head was empty.
I groggily got up and got ready before heading to Charms class. We had an exam, so I didn't have a chance to catch up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
When class ended, I hurriedly got up to walk with them to Defense Against the Dark Arts.
"Y/n, are you okay? You don't look so good," Ron asked nervously as he took in my exhausted appearance.
I sighed and closed my eyes as I tried to recall the events of last night.
"I'm fine, I just have a headache is all," I reassured him and he half smiled, trying to believe me.
"Did Malfoy do something? I know you guys are a thing, but he can be an upright git sometimes," Harry asked as he tilted his head in concern.
I laughed and shook my head, "Who told you we are a thing?"
Hermione shot her head at me seriously and asked, "You can't be serious."
What's gotten into them? Have they gone mental?
I just kept laughing and replied, "You guys crack me up, truly. Draco Malfoy is a rude, selfish, spoiled boy who is the last person I'd want to be in a relationship with."
Of course, I was a bit confused about why I couldn't remember what happened last night, or why I had tear stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes when I had returned to my dorm last night.
The only thing I remember was that Draco was there, with me, in the Astronomy Tower and the horrified look on his face gave me chills.
Something was seriously wrong with that dude.
"Um Y/n, don't look behind you..." Ron said softly and I shook off his warning as I slowly turned to see Draco walking into Snape's classroom and staring right at me.
He must've heard the awful things I said about him, because his eyes showed how hurt he was, but why would he be hurt?
He's rude and you two barely even know each other.
Maybe he's just secretly really sensitive...
I laughed at the thought and shook my head before watching him walk over to his seat behind me and I turned to say goodbye to the golden trio before heading towards my seat by Jade and Ryder.
But, they weren't there.
They were talking to Draco with angry expressions and I saw them pointing at me, so I just faced the front and tried to ignore the fact that they were talking about me.
—————
Draco's POV✨
—————"What the hell do you mean you obliviated her?!" Ryder angrily whisper yelled at me and I flinched.
"She was in danger. We were too close, so I had to take matters into my own hands." I sighed and looked over at the beautiful girl seated a little ways in front of me, reading her textbook.
Jade was fuming and spat, "You're an idiot, you really are. We all know of your little situation, but you need to stop pitying yourself and stop trying to protect Y/n. She can take care of herself!"
I gulped and looked down at my fidgeting fingers before meeting their angry eyes and confessing, "She tried to stop me but I...I stunned her."
"You're joking me, right?!" Ryder yelled, "Mate, she wanted to help you, but you've just screwed everything up!"
"Do you love her?" Jade asked seriously, glaring at me and I looked back down at my desk.
"Yes."
"Then, if you loved her, why did you push her away?!" Jade asked, raising her voice, and i immediately shushed her.
"Jade, shut the fuck up. She might hear you for Merlin's sake..." I warned as I shot her a death glare, but then my voice softened, "Please, don't tell her."
Jade and Ryder shook their head as though they were seriously contemplating it before nodding and whispering, "We won't."
They agreed to warn Blaise to not tell her either when they would next see him, because he's been skipping classes to hangout with Luna.
When class ended, I watched her leave the room without looking at me again and I sighed while looking down at the empty piece of paper in front of me.
"I trust that you've taken care of the distraction," Snape interrupted my thoughts as he leaned over my desk.
"It's done. She won't distract me anymore." I stated with no emotion, not even bothering to look up at him.
He sighed and the whispered, "Listen, Draco. I know it's hard right now, but when the time comes, I can assure you that she will return to your life without any complications. This is just temporary, remember that."
I nodded as he walked out of the classroom, leaving me alone in the silence.
I looked down at the paper in front of me and decided that whenever it got hard for me, I would write to her.
Dear Y/n,
It's the day after.
I'm sorry for what happened yesterday, but I had no choice. It's hard watching you laugh with your friends as I sulk in the corner, but I won't lose hope.
I know one day, I'm going to be with you.
And that time, I will not let you go again.
I promise.
Forever yours,
Draco xo
