business - catfish and the bottlemen

As the crew prepares for the heist, I walk back into the garage to clear my mind, pacing back and forth. I felt a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach, a mixture of excitement and terror. Pulling out my phone, I have half a mind to text my dad, telling him that I love him and he should always remember that but quickly desert the idea. Way too dramatic, right? Hearing footsteps behind me, I turn around to come face to face with Jenny, who had her hand stretched out.
"Gimme your phone. We don't want anything tracking our location in the middle of the heist." She says and I nod absently, shutting off my phone and handing it over, watching her put it in a toolbox with the others'. "Here. We'll stay in touch over these. Encrypted satellite uplink." Jenny hands me an earpiece and I accept, looking at it for a moment. "I have some black clothes you can borrow from me, helps in the dark to be even more invisible." Jenny walks off and returns a moment later with a black shirt and a matching zip-up hoodie. I take it from her with a grateful smile and quickly go to change in the bathroom. When I emerge everyone is busy getting into the cars and I walk over to where Emilia is getting in hers.
"We're going in your car, Emilia?" I ask her as she straps on the seatbelt and turns her head to me with a smile.
"Fully electric. Completely silent. It'll make us harder to notice." I nod as Hero throws a duffel of supplies in the back and walks up to me. He sighs when our eyes lock and I notice that even though he was trying not to show it, he was as tense as the rest of us.
"So. This is what you wanted. You ready?" He says and I nod. The two of us stand there in tense silence before Hero quietly clears his throat. "Hey, do me a favor? Hang on to this for me. It kept me safe. Maybe it'll do the same for you." He says, softly taking my hand and placing something in it. I look down at Hero's necklace, the spark plug, before he closes my fingers around it.
"I thought you didn't believe in luck." I say, looking up at him and he gives me small smile.
"Tonight, I'll have to." He says, before sliding in Emilia's SUV and I do the same after putting the necklace around my neck, between him and Jax. Emilia turns in her seat, looking at us just as Jenny slips in the passenger seat.
"You boys aren't gonna cause a ruckus back there, are you?" She says, half-joking.
"I'll keep them apart." I say and Emilia grins before nodding and turning back around to start her car. As the garage door rises, I feel a lump in my throat.
Soon, we're on the 5 heading north. Looking to my right I could see Hero mumbling to himself, probably going through the plan again and to my left, Jax was silently staring out the window, so still it was hard to tell he was even breathing. Jenny was tapping her fingers on her knee, which was bobbing up and down. "So, where are we trying to intercept the hauler?" I ask when I couldn't take the silence anymore. Hero turns his head to me, a bit startled but quickly recovers.
"If we time this right we'll catch up to it on the Grapevine." He says and I frown at him as I think it over for a moment.
"You want to steal cars off a moving truck. On a pitch black highway. Through a winding mountain pass?" I ask him and Emilia chuckles from her seat behind the wheel.
"And it's supposed to get pretty foggy up there. Perfect cover." She says.
"No cell signal. Makes it harder for quick police response. Not bad." Jenny says and I could hear Jax curse under his breath. "What's wrong? You don't like it?" Jenny asks him, glancing over her shoulder with a smirk.
