no one does it better - you me at six

I just stare at him for a moment, and he at me before he looks around anxiously, grabbing my hand and pulling me into a private lounge. Once we're alone, Hero wheels on me, his facial expression furious.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" He whisper-shouts at me and it's all it takes to pull me out of my daze. I glare up at him, crossing my arms over my chest, matching his angered expression.
"I'm here because Levi told me everything. I know what we did, Hero. I know Jax had us kidnap a Brotherhood traitor." I say and Hero's face falls and his eyes soften before he sighs, running a hand through his hair in a frustrated manner. He looks around as if he could find the words somewhere in the room we're in before he finally looks back at me.
"Jo... I'm sorry. If I'd had an idea, I swear-" He starts but I shake my head, holding a hand up to stop him from speaking.
"It's too late for hypotheticals, Hero. We're in serious trouble. I know Jax's planning to hand him over in exchange for our freedom. But it's not too late to stop this. Come on..." I pull on Heros's arm and try to guide him back to the door, but he doesn't budge. I turn back to him. "What's wrong?" I ask and I could see him shaking his head before he turns around to me, a pained expression on his face.
"I can't let you blow this, Jo." He says, quietly and as if these are not the words he wanted to say. I stare at him, incredulously.
"What? You almost killed Jax when you found out! I thought you were against this whole plan!" I exclaim and he pulls his arm from my grasp, the battle clear in his eyes.
"He came around to my way of seeing things." A voice comes from behind me and I turn to see Jax walking into the lounge, wearing a suit similar to Hero. He folds his arms. "Josephine. Glad you could join us for the fireworks." He says and I frown at him.
"That's all you have to say to me? After everything we've been through?" I say, surprised at how steady my voice sounded. Way steadier than my legs felt. Something flashes over Jax's face but it's gone as quick as it came, replaced by his usually stoic features.
"What do you want me to say? Sorry? I don't want to lie to you." He simply says and for a moment I really feel the urge to slap him until he sees sense.
"Oh, now that's a problem? You didn't mind lying about your whole plan." I snap back at him and a small smirk flashes on his lips.
"I didn't lie. I hid the truth to protect you. You're smart, Josephine. You have to see why I did it." He says and I shake my head, scrunching my eyebrows together.
"Why you tricked your crew into doing something stupid and dangerous?" I retort and Jax looks right past me, over my shoulder. His face now expressionless.
"The rest of them might not love this plan, but they're willing to do what it takes." His eyes flash as he meets my gaze. "Even if you aren't." I turn to Hero, stunned. He averts his gaze, jaw locked and shoulders tense.
"You're really down with this? Handing a federal informant over to his old crew? The FBI will come after all of us for taking their witness." Jax just starts laughing. I glare at him. "What could possibly be funny about this?" I ask him, anger rising up in me with every word.
"The feds won't do a thing. Because he's not their witness." Jax simply says and I stare at him, confused.
"What?"
"It's a lie, Josephine. We staged it all. The member we kidnapped isn't a rat. We just made the Brotherhood think he is." He says, shrugging as if he just read the back of a cereal box.
