A little while later Dana left the living room saying that she wanted to change clothes and asked Alex to come with her. Nick also left the room to call his parents and let them know that he was eating dinner with the Royal family. Leaving Reina and Jason alone.

"So, Jason," Reina said in soft but threatening tone.

"Is this where you tell me not to hurt your best friend and if I do, you'll hurt me very badly?" Jason said nervously.

"No, Nick's a big boy. He can take care of himself. I was going to ask what you meant about Alex's nightmares."

Jason hesitated. "I'm sorry but it's not really my place to say."

Reina sighed softly, "It's alright. I just worry about her. I can tell that's been through so much..."

"The best thing I can say is give her time. When she first moved in with us, she barely said anything to anyone. Hell, the only reason why I know she has nightmare is because she was in the room next to mine. Sometimes, she would wake up with a yell and then never go back to sleep for the rest of the night. She never really even warmed up to my moms until they offered for her move with us. She was kind to the twins, but I think that was because they're so young."

"When did she start to talk to you?" Reina asked. "I mean she seems comfortable with you." There was a small note of jealously in her voice.

Jason sighed sadly, "I had found out that my now ex-boyfriend was cheating on me and when I confronted him about it. He said a lot of hurtful things to me in front of everyone at our old school. In the middle of that Alex suddenly appeared out of nowhere and punched him. She told him to never bother me again. She got a three-day suspension for punching him. When we got home that day, she made sure I was ok. After that we would watch Doctor Who together. My ex never bothered me again. He was, slash, still is terrified of her. Alex is a complicated person, but she does really care about people. She just likes to keep her own walls bigger than that one in China."

Reina was smiling by end of his story, she stood up and dusted off her jeans. "You asked earlier what the Warrior Princess does? They protect. They protect the innocent as well as the werewolf kind."

Jason nodded. "Sounds like Alex. Look like I said, just give her time."

Reina's eyes glazed over as she was mind-linked. "Your family just arrived at the front gate," she said then smiled at him. "Thanks for the advice. Really."

"No prob, Bob." Jason said grinning.

"It's Reina," she responded blankly before grinning to let him know that she was joking. Jason's response was cut off by the doorbell echoing throughout the house.
