first, the electrics gave out. blue static electricity sparked violently throughout the day project causing smoke to slowly emit into the air, billowing around them.
"what's happening?" choi hayoung shrieked, dumbfounded at the irregular response of the day machine. she forcefully attempted to tug her hand away from the necklace trying to release the hold after inserting the necklace.
in retaliation, her daughter utilized her free hand to trap her mother's preventing her from leaving. the stinging pain of the electricity grew into an unbearable pain in their body. nevertheless, she didn't let go, she wanted her mom to feel the pain even if haru had to undergo it too.
"haru." she strained in agony "let go immediately! the day project it's going to kill us."
"then let it, you said you wanted quality mother and daughter time so here it is!"
usually, normal family quality time has something to do with bowling or even talking around the dinner table but unfortunately, that didn't apply to this girl's situation.
however, her interpretation had something to do with forcing her mother and her to hold onto a dangerously faulty machine that electrifies their bodies.
"haru..please let go." spider man grunted, trying to hold the bleeding back. he used the remaining of his strength to haul himself up, barely making it to his knees.
at that moment, fire erupted burning around them forming a ring of fire. she could feel the heat suffocating them, vigorously removing the air from their lungs. the loud grumbling of the ground also didn't sound entirely stable when it began to crack under.
"this is s.h.i.e.l.d!" a voice bellowed, bouncing off the crumbling walls. in the corner of his eye, he sighted the incoming line of young agents armed with various weapons that appeared to be of unearthly nature. their weapons all aligned, aimed towards the choi family.
"man down!" an agent confirmed.
one official rushed towards spider man to aid him, who could barely stand on his own two feet, and hauled him up.
"you're injured." she stated
"yeah i think i kinda noticed that." he observed that the direction the shield agent was dragging him towards, strayed further from haru. "hey where are you taking me!"
"to safety, you can't survive without medical attention," she informed.
"no you can't make me leave, haru is still in danger. the day project is going to cave the floor in and she's sacrificing herself i need to save her!"
"you can't even walk how are you going to save her?"
"i'll find a way I'm spiderman remember? when have i ever came up with a fool proof plan that didn't work out?" hopefully the agent was aware that the question was rhetorical "look, she's doing to die if we don't get her out please you have to listen to me." he begged
