Our last class ended earlier than usual. If you ask me, the teacher wanted to end the lesson early, even though our third year was quite crucial for us. Everyone began talking to each other and a group of girls that sat in front of me tried starting a conversation, rather the one you may consider "the leader" of the group tried asking me out.

"Hey Kaito! Are you busy this weekend? We could study for our midterms together at the cafe." she said with a smile that I could tell she tried making seem bright to try and get me to say yes.

"Sorry. I'm busy this weekend. Maybe some other time." I lied. Actually, I really did have plans, specifically with Hisa and Akemi. But I didn't actually mean that some time when I wasn't busy we could go study together, in truth, maybe she wasn't a bad person, but I didn't want her getting the wrong idea that I wanted to be more than friends.

"Oh, I see. What about the weekend after that then?"

"Can't, I have volleyball practice that weekend for nationals." I smiled as kindly as humanly possible. I hoped she was going to give up soon.

"That's okay! Then can I come to your practice?"

At this point, I was beginning to lose my patience. "I don't believe that students outside of the team are allowed to go to our practices."

Suddenly, Hiroto joined in. "Hey Haru, could you come here for a sec?" He pulls me aside from the group of pesty girls. "What are you lying for? You bring that underclassmen Eiichi to practice sometimes, why not invite pretty girls for once?" His attitude from before changed, this time, he seemed nicer and he was trying to convince me to invite the girls to practice.

"If you want them to come, you should invite them. They'll only be a distraction for me." I plainly said. I had brought Eiichi to practice sometimes, but it was because we were dating. Even if the others didn't know that.

"Come on, maybe you could even get together with-"

"No." my tone was louder than anticipated, "I don't want to invite them."

He scoffed at my response, "Fine. So then why do you bring Eiichi?"

"Because he's a friend and I want to. I'm not going to continue discussing this." I sat back down in my seat and rested my head on my arm which was at the edge of my desk. Hiroto sat back down and continued talking with some other members of the volleyball team. I could feel his eyes on me but I didn't look up. I just thought about my plans with Akemi and Hisa this weekend. Actually, I was nervous about the upcoming Saturday. After close to a year being with Eiichi, they still didn't know that we were together, hell not even that I was into guys. The topic of LGBT people was never brought up with us, which is why I was unsure what they would think about Eiichi and I being together. When I thought about telling two people that I've known for a while something like this, I felt sick to my stomach at the thought of being rejected. I had mentioned telling Akemi and Hisa about our relationship to Eiichi, he didn't think it was a bad idea as long as I was sure they'd at least respect the fact that we were together. In actuality, I wasn't sure if they'd even respect our relationship, but I decided to take the risk either way.

I felt a sudden buzz come from my pocket, it was a message from Hisa. "Kaitooooo! Can't wait for tomorrow!" the message read and he sent a picture of him with a filter from ChatSnap.

I replied with, "Same, see ya!" actually, I could wait for tomorrow, at least until I could gather the courage to tell them the one thing they didn't know about me.
