As soon as the bell that ended the day rang, everyone rushed out of the small classroom. I waited on the bench in front of the school for Kaito. When he finally came out, he had a worried expression on his pale face. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked.

"Oh, uh, yeah. Just worried about tomorrow." he had barely even looked at me as he said those few words. I had a hunch on what he meant, but he seemed like he needed a distraction more than anything.

"I have an idea! Why don't we go to the arcade for a bit? It's Friday anyway." I suggested, his emerald eyes finally met my own, rather than smiling, he just frowned.

"I'm not feeling too good, can we just go to my place instead? We could watch the new episodes of our show."

It wasn't often that Kaito rejected going out, I immediately knew that tomorrow was worrying him more than I thought. "Sure," we began walking to his place, "is tomorrow's hangout with Hisa and Akemi worrying you that much? If you don't feel comfortable or like you're ready, you don't have to say anything, you know."

"I know, but I feel like the later I tell them, the more this'll worry me. It's not like I want to hide our relationship forever, anyway."

I didn't say anything afterwards. I could tell Kaito was worried about their reaction, but he really was willing to risk his friendship just for us. To be truthful, I didn't want Kaito to risk his friendships over something like this. I was aware that he can't hide something like this forever, but he could at least wait until he was ready.

At an attempt to change the subject, I brought up the news I had heard from Daisuke earlier that day. "Hey Kaito, apparently there's going to be a new student next week."
"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, usually I don't really care about new students, but one of my classmates said that they heard a rumor that they're from Shinjuku. Of course, the rumor could be wrong, but what would be the chances that the new student's from one of the junior highs that were near my old one, or even from my own school."

He finally looks up, not at me, but at the clear sky, "Hm, well, it would be pretty interesting if you knew them. Are you curious?"

"Not really, I just thought that the rumor was interesting. If anything I hope that it isn't anyone from my old school." I ran up in front of Kaito and grabbed his hands that were hidden in the depths of his pockets. "Well anyway, come on. Let's get home already so we can catch up on the episodes we've missed!"

He smiles and pulls me in for an embrace. "Alright. Let's go."
