Even after receiving a text from Eiichi saying that he wouldn't be able to eat with me today, I still went up to the rooftop. I have to say, the sudden text was unusual. But I didn't question him any further, instead I decided to take the opportunity to talk to Hisa during my lunch time.
Me: Hey Hisa
Hisa (almost immediate): Kaitooooo what's up?
Me: In lunch alone, you?
Hisa: In class :( How come you're not eating with Eiichi?
Me: I'm not sure, he said he'd explain later, I don't mind really, we eat together practically everyday.
Hisa: Ohh okay. Hey so uh, has Akemi texted you at all?
Me: No, I'm assuming he wants nothing to do with me after what I told you both on Saturday.
Hisa: Don't think that way! Just give him some time, he'll come around.
I begin to type that I wasn't sure if that was the case, but something catches my eye. Down right below me, I see Eiichi sitting with another guy, based on the pictures he showed me, it looks like his ex, Nanase.
Me: I'll text you back in a bit.
What was Eiichi doing with that guy? Wasn't his ex dead? Questions swarmed in my head as I saw them talking on the bench in front of the field. That guy that was sitting next to him smiled at him and I saw Eiichi wiping his face. Was he crying? Why? I was tempted to go down there myself and find out what was happening, that is until the irritant bell rang. I saw them get up and walk back together.
Why did it bother me to see them together?
