Close Call

Amity P.O.V.

Luz took me to her bathroom and began searching for first aid.

"Come on where is it?!" Luz was getting annoyed. She started grumbling in Spanish which was pretty funny to me.

"You already checked there~" I couldn't resist messing with her a little.

"Unngh, Estúpidos primeros auxilios. Solo quiero ayudar a mi novia." Luz shuffled through the cupboards for a few more minutes until I groaned in pain. Slightly losing my balance. "Whoa you okay?" Before I knew it Luz was in front of me holding my arms to make sure I didn't fall.

"I-I'm okay, thank you." Luz nodded and made sure I was alright, then turned back to searching for first aid.

"Don't tell me we're ou- oh wait! There it is!" Luz grabbed the box and set it on the counter. "Do you mind taking your shirt off?" I looked straight at Luz surprised how bluntly she said it. "J-just so I can look at the wound of course!" I nodded following her orders while she found a few replacement bandages. Luz looked over at me once I got my shirt off. Luz eyed my wounds or I think that's what she was looking at. Luz shook her head and undid the knot. Setting the bloody bandages on the counter, and began carefully wrapping the fresh ones around me.

"You know you kinda got what you wanted. You're seeing me without my shirt on." We both giggled. Luz finished tying off the knot and looked back up at me, clearly blushing. Luz dragged me to her room to get me a fresh shirt sense the other one had blood on it.

"This wasn't what I had in mind."

"So what did you think instead?"

"Maybe something like..." Luz kissed me and moved us to her bed. Pinning me down onto it. There was no stopping me from blushing how could I not?!

"Luz you're joking right?" I sat up to push Luz off me. "We're only fourteen..." Luz grabbed my wrist and leaned closer to me.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't mess with you." Luz got off me, and started laughing as I shoved my hands into my face.

"Unngh I can't believe you fooled me like that!"

"I can't believe it worked!"

"You're unbelievable...." I sat up while Luz got off her bed to get me a shirt.

"You're adorable~"

"Gah aren't I blushing enough?!" Luz just kept on laughing at my flustered self.

"Solo cuando eres adorable mi amor~"

"Can you speak what I understand?"

"Of course Mi amor~"

"What is 'me ahmore'?"

"It's 'Mi amor', and it means my love~" Upon hearing that I froze up no doubt I was completely red. "Maybe I should think of more names for you~"

"No! I'm good without dying today!" Luz chuckled as she handed me a shirt. "Wait a second is that Hecate?!" On the shirt Luz handed me was Hecate and one of her signature quotes.

"Yeah, I asked mom to get it for you! I got a matching Azura one too!"

Luz P.O.V.

Amity instantly squealed but tried to cover it up like nothing happened. Amity put on the shirt and we made our way downstairs.

"Shall we get back to watching Azura?"

"Of course."

"Hey girls." Mom walked in through the door at the perfect timing. Any minute earlier and we'd be killed by embarrassment.

"Heya mom!"

"Hello Camilia."

"Where's Edalyn?" Mom looked around noticing Eda's absence.

"She's getting apple blood."

"You mean apple juice?"

"Nope." Mom gave me a look of confusion before shaking her head, and setting her purse down.

"I'll be in my room for a bit." Mom grabbed a few things from her purse before heading to her room. Muttering in spanish on the way. "Edalyn todavía me debe ella mejor regresa pronto"

"¿Qué te debe ella?"

"Don't worry about it mi hija"

"That's interesting...." Amity had a blank stare on her face. Completely confused about what we just said.

"I really should learn Spanish so I can understand you two."

"Pero entonces no puedo burlarme de ti tan fácilmente." Amity rolled her eyes at my teasing, and laid back down on the couch.

"Wait a second." Amity cast a spell that didn't seem to do anything. "That should do it. ¿Estoy diciendo esto correctamente?" Amity spoke spanish clearly. Which surprised me.

"Yes! Did you cast some kind of language spell?"

"Yeah it's temporary, but it's better than constantly being confused."

"Para que puedas entenderme ahora?"

"Yes."

"That's so cool!" Amity laughed at my excitement. "Now that you can understand me I have an idea!" Amity looked at me patiently waiting for my plan. "Eres mucho más adorable cuando estás nerviosa"

"Unngh Luz!"

"Exactly what I mean! No wonder Willow gave you that nickname!"

"What is it?" I couldn't help but snicker when recalling the nickname. "Don't just laugh tell me!"

"It's gay panic!" I burst into laughter watching Amity's face go red.

"Both of you are too much to handle sometimes." Amity jokingly scoffed while turning away from me.

"Aww don't tell me your sick of me?~"

"Nobody can get sick of you, well maybe Mattholomule." I chukled taking a seat next to Amity.

Amity passed out at some point even though she said she wasn't tired. I almost took a picture, but I didn't want to wake her up.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" A familiar voice came from outside. It wasn't Eda and mom was already inside so I was curious to see who it was. I carefully got up to answer the  door. I looked out the window to see who it was.

"Zander?!" I jumped back from the window quickly covering my mouth.

What is he doing here?!

"Luz is that you? Can you let me in?"

I walked back to Amity considering if I should wake her up.

No let her sleep. Just hide her ears.

"U-uhh yeah! Give me a sec!" I ran into my room grabbing an old beanie, and slid it over Amity's head. Surprisingly she didn't wake up. I went over to the door and twisted the handle. "Hey Zander, w-what are you doing here?" I couldn't help but be nervous.

"You're mom said you were back in town, and I thought I'd say hi."

"You really didn't have to do that." I fiddled with loose strands of hair hoping he wasn't here long.

"Is something wrong? You seem tense." Zander raised an eyebrow scanning the room behind me. "Is it your dad...?" He spoke in a hushed voice.

"No! I'm fine!!" I spoke really loudly, and my voice was shaky. There was no way I looked 'fine'.

"Luz. We used to date I know when something's up." Zander put his hand on my shoulder giving it a squeeze.

"Umm...."

Crap.
