"Daddy's home!" Jacob chimed the moment he walked into his house.

His son, Jayden, waddled his way to the front door. It had been a long day for Jacob and he was pretty worn out but he will never ever show it to his son.

"Have you been a good boy?" Jacob embraced Jayden in his arms, swinging side by side in a squatting position.

"Da dda bababa na." Jayden babytalk as he pointed at the living room.

Jacob nodded his head with his bright smile. "Is that so? Okay~ Let's go and have dinner with grandparents~" He sang and lifted Jayden up.

"Cobey, you're home?" Jacob's mom popped out from the kitchen.

Jacob hummed in response and walked to where she was with Jayden in his arms. "Thank you mom." He gave a light kiss on her cheek.

"Do you want to wash up first? Or are you already hungry?" She asked as she took Jayden away from Jacob.

"Dad's not home yet?" Jacob questioned as he removed his tie.

His mom shook her head. "Should be soon. He had a meeting with one of our clients."

"Ahhh, then I'll go wash up first and eat together when he's back." Jacob smiled sweetly and lightly squished Jayden's cheeks. "Daddy will be back okayy~"

"Noona!!"

"Kim.Sun.Woo." Naeun shot her death glare at the latter for disturbing her sleep.

Sunwoo took a step back with his notes held tightly on his chest. "It's only 8!"

Naeun grabbed her pillow and threw directly at Sunwoo's face. "I didn't share my passcode with you to barge in like that."

"Oh come on~ Not like you were naked or caught watching something you shouldn't be watching." Sunwoo picked up the pillow and sat on her study table. "Help me." He pointed at his notes then clasped his hands together.

Naeun squinted her eyes. "Maths?" Sunwoo nodded and she puffed her cheeks. "Where's your roommate even?" She lazily walked to where Sunwoo was.

Sunwoo shrugged. "Busy with something."

Naeun clicked her tongue and grabbed a pen to solve her cousin's maths questions. After which, she went on to explain which took Sunwoo awhile to understand.

"Ahhhh okay thank you noona~ You're the best." Sunwoo thumbed up and got up from his seat.

Naeun dragged her feet back to her bed and laid down, hugging her bolster. "It's semester break, why are you even studying?"

"I'm taking extra classes." Sunwoo answered as he walked to the door. "Aren't you going to look for jobs?" He asked with his hand on the door knob.

Naeun had just finished her last semester in college and was waiting for results to be out before she could start her career. "Yeah but not now. I need to catch up on my sleep first." Naeun shooed the latter out of the room with her hand.

Sunwoo snorted a laugh and left her room, back to his dorm. These cousins actually lived opposite of each other ever since they started their college life, just that Naeun lived alone whereas Sunwoo has a roommate.

Jacob's family had dinner together in the kitchen except for Jayden who had fallen asleep.

"Any news from the police?" Dad asked.

Jacob shook his head and sighed in defeat. "They could not even find any lead from Mr. Kwon's last whereabouts. We really need to look for another employee at this rate."

Pursing her lips, Mom comforted Jacob by patting his shoulder. "It's okay, just focus on finding a babysitter now. I'm sure Mr. Kwon will return back someday."

Jacob's family owned a big corporate business and yes, they are very wealthy. But recently, there was a disappearance of an employee that was considered an important role in the company.

Jacob's mom took over temporarily thinking that Mr. Kwon would only be missing for days, but it went for weeks and they could not keep on working in rotation among the family to take care of Jayden.

"Any applications yet?" Dad asked.

"Chanhee just helped me post in a forum today. I'll check before I sleep." Jacob smiled in reassuring.

"Noona~" Sunwoo sang as he barged in his cousin's dorm once again.

"What now..." Naeun answered in a muffled voice.

"Did you not check the link I sent you?" He started nagging while pouting.

Naeun shifted her position and eyed the boy. "Did I not tell you that sleep is my top priority right now??" She shot back.

Sunwoo raised his arms in surrender as he scooted closer to her bed. "My bad, sorry. It's urgent but the pay though. Nae nuni sumi maeumi neo-" He was about to dance to the whole chorus part but Naeun cut him off.

"$300 per month?? You crazy??" Naeun chinned up with her knitted eyebrows.

Sunwoo judged her cousin. "It's per day. $300 per day!!"

"W-what?" Naeun widened her eyes in shock.

Sunwoo clicked his tongue as he shook his head. "Apply before it's too late." He ruffled Naeun's hair messily and left her dumbfounded.

$300 per day??? She sat up on her bed and reached out for her phone under her pillow. She clicked on the link and read through the job description.

9 to 6, sounds like an office hour kind of job. But in 2 weeks, I could easily earn $3K??? Wait no, babysitting is tough. It's not even easy. Should I give it a go?

She bit her lower lips as she pondered hard, doubting her capability as she could only rely on her previous volunteering work in the children's centre for a couple of years.

"What are the chances, no harm trying luck." She grabbed her laptop and began working on her resume before submitting.

Dawn came and Jayden's wailing echoed. Jacob quickly rushed to Jayden and sang lullaby to put him back to sleep.

Jayden calmed down but instead of going to sleep, he pointed at the door of Jacob's room. "Mam-mma."

"Milk? Okay daddy will make milk for you." Jacob went out of the room to the kitchen with Jayden in his arms.

Jayden silently watched his dad make milk in one hand. Jacob then shook the bottle before passing to his son. They went back to Jacob's room and Jayden laid his head on Jacob's lap.

Jacob gently stroked Jayden's head as he sang lullaby. Awhile later, Jayden fell asleep and Jacob carried Jayden to his bed, without forgetting to take the bottle away.

Jacob then returned back to his bed and grabbed his laptop since he didn't feel like sleeping back. After replying to some emails, he went to check on the application lists. Let's see...
