To avoid suspicions from employees, Naeun was nervously waiting for Jacob somewhere near his car. Indeed, the next day came too fast for her to mentally prepared. If I'm this nervous for a crush, what if it's a boyfriend? How many times do I have to respawn?

"Hey." Not long after, Jacob came with his infamous angelic smile.

Naeun shot her shy smile. "Hi." She took steps away from where she was and boarded his car in a split second.

Jacob chuckled upon seeing her swift moves as she was wary of others. "What action movie are we filming?"

"Daddy's Crush." Naeun scrunched her nose as she mumbled. She then felt the stare and turned to her side to only meet Jacob raising his eyebrow. She quickly averted her gaze back to the front and awkwardly pointed. "Let's go."

Jacob contained his laugh as he started driving. "Any cravings?" He asked after they had left the building.

"Pasta." Naeun answered without much thoughts since that was what she had been craving. Took her awhile to mentally slap at herself. "Ah, I mean. I'm fine with anything." She lowkey rapped.

Light chuckles could be heard and she could not even face him from the embarrassment. "Pasta it is."

Before they fell into comfortable silence, Jacob decided to be more talkative for 'unknown' reasons. "How have you been?"

A week had it been since their arcade outing and they have not meet each other since then.

"Doing well I supposed." Naeun embarrassedly laughed. "Do you have many projects now?"

"Yeah, it's so stressful at times." Jacob admitted that Naeun did not expect it coming from him since he has always been a positive person. "Maybe I shouldn't have followed dad's path." He continued by joking.

"You're too nice." Naeun said and gave a small grin when their eyes met.

Jacob returned his eyes back on the road, still chuckling over Naeun's statement. "I just don't want to be a burden."

"But, are you doing what you love?" Naeun carefully asked as it may be seen as a sensitive question to some people.

Jacob pursed his lips. "Not really. But I love the people I'm working with."

Naeun slowly nodded her head, understanding where he was coming from. "I guess, they are the ones that keep you going."

Jacob hummed in agreement. "I just hope dad will continue leading the company many years down the road. I'm not ready to take over his position any time soon." He heaved a worry sigh.

Naeun pressed her lips firmly over his concern. "I'm sure you will do just fine, like how you have always been." She reassured in her soft voice.

"Thanks." Jacob smiled as he took a brake at the traffic light.

He then glanced over the girl who was looking out of the window. Without him realizing, a part of him already knew the fact that he could actually depend on her. Just like how she reassured him about Jayden's birthday. (chapter 7)

Who would have thought I would be sharing my own worries with someone that nobody else knew.

❥Flashback❥

Sweeping his hair back, warm water gushed down from the shower head. Jacob was in deep thoughts as he was showering after some talk with his dad.

It was not the first time his dad ever warned him about breaking a girl's heart for being too nice. But Naeun was the first to be specifically brought up as his dad has never mentioned any girl's name before that.

He felt something ignite in his body especially when Naeun was the main reason for his dad to bring up the same topic all over again. Why? Do I like her? Maybe I should spend more time with her...

After a warm shower, Jacob stepped out and wore comfortable clothes. He then hung his towel around his neck before grabbing his phone on the table. Sitting by the edge of his bed, he was just staring at his past conversation with Naeun.

How... What do I start with? He messed his wet hair as he pondered real hard in starting a conversation.

Jacob exhaled a lump sum of air as he reread their conversation. He locked his phone and placed it on the bed before standing up. Drying his hair with a towel, he then went out of his room to find his son.

Meanwhile, both Chanhee and Sunwoo were giving looks when Naeun was seen nervous texting.

"He asked for lunch tomorrow." Naeun answered their curiosity.

The boyz cooed excitedly. "Enjoy~" Chanhee winked.

Naeun tilted her head, frowning. "You're not joining us???"

Chanhee shrugged. "He didn't even invite me." He grabbed his phone and waved in the air, showing his home screen of 0 notifications from Jacob. There must be something... Either he has something to talk to her or he has some feelings for her.

"W-what!?" Naeun was in disbelief that she stammered on her word.

"Noona, it's your time to shine and grab all of his attention." Sunwoo wiggled his eyebrows playfully.

Naeun clenched her teeth and started throwing punches, hiding her embarrassment. How am I supposed to survive tomorrow?

Not like it was her first time to ever have a meal with Jacob. But she just learned the fact that Jacob is single and was never married after thinking that she was a witch for stealing someone's husband for the past one week. Her brain just got wrecked by a man who indirectly gave her a ride of emotions.
