Among us story mode: Imposter imperceptible

Reactor Meltdown

I headed towards finishing my tasks. Finishing them was now one of our main essential goals. You had to complete all your tasks not to die, and also, we had to find out who the imposter was. But first, I had to do one thing.

There was a security station on the west side of the map. I had decided to check there. I thought of looking at the cameras, so I could see what's going around the map without moving a finger.

I headed towards the upper engine and then went down to where security and the reactor was. I then entered security and stared at the CCTV. It was a massive screen with four smaller panels. The cameras had four places where somebody monitored it. (It was the hallway connecting to Navigation and Shields, outside of admin, outside security, and the hallway of upper engine and cafeteria) But Somebody could only view the cameras

In a specific place, so there were no cameras everywhere around the ship.

I looked at the cameras. I saw Green and Cyan going to Admin, Blue and White going to Navigation, and Black heading into medbay. Nothing was going wrong so far.

I then stared at the screen for a while. But found nothing terrible. So I decided to leave.

I started to walk away when I saw Pink. "Oh, hey Red!" he said as I walked past by the reactor. "Hey, hows the tasks going," I replied.

"They're doing good," Pink said. "I need to do a few more tasks, especially the swipe card in admin."

"I have that task too!" I said. "Wanna go with me?"

"Uhm, sure!" Pink replied.

We then walked down towards Admin, which took us a while.

When we arrived, I did my card task first. I took my card and gently swiped it over the scan reader.

TOO SLOW, TRY AGAIN

I groaned and tried the swipe again, this time, with a bit of agility.

I swiped it again, and it read: TOO FAST, TRY AGAIN.

"Why doesn't this stupid card task work!" I said. I then calmed down and then slowly swiped again.

BAD READ, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER

I then went berserk. I spammed the card into the scanner and kept on spamming it. It said: Too fast, try again Too fast, try again Too fast, try again Too fast, try again Too fast, try again.

Then, Pink looked at me, awkwardly. And I threw the card across the admin table, frustrated.

"Hey, Hey, you need to do it slowly," Pink said. He picked up the card and then instructed me to come. I followed him.

He then took my hand and the card with it, and he slowly swiped it across the scanner with my hand. The reader then said: Accepted! Thank you!

"That's how you do it," Pink said. "Make sure to do it fast, but also slow with agility all at the same time."

"Wow, thanks, Pink. Where did you learn this stuff?"

"I listened to the task instructions back on earth," Pink said. I stared at Pink. We never had card swipe instructions. But I think it didn't matter. Maybe Pink was in past missions.

All of a sudden, Purple, Green, and White entered the admin room.

"Hey, Red! How's it going?" White said. "I'm doing good," I said. "Pink just helped me do the admin card swipe."

"Oh yeah, those swipes are sometimes hard to do," White said. "I came here to check the admin map; wanna check it out?"

"Sure!" I said. I headed towards the admin table, and we looked at the places. The admin table was a map and tracks people who are inside some room. I saw two people in electrical, and one person in weapons.

Suddenly, we heard a siren.

I looked at my tablet: REACTOR MELTDOWN (29)

"That's a sabotage!" Pink said. "We need to go to the reactor fast!"
The reactor sabotage had a countdown on it. So if we didn't do it by the time the countdown ends, bad things would happen.

I quickly ran with Pink and ran towards the reactor. We were on our way to it when Pink suddenly stopped. We turned around to see Cyan catching up with us. He was on the floor, knees bent, gasping for breath.

"I'll help Cyan while you go!" Pink said. I nodded and headed over towards the reactor. It was now down to 13 seconds. We had to react fast.

I finally headed inside the reactor room. I saw the reactor. It was glowing red, like it was about to explode. Next to it was two hand-print scanners. To fix the reactor sabotage, you needed two people to do it. They each had to go over a scanner and put their hand over it. That's how you turn the sabotage off.

I headed towards the left side of the reactor and put my hand on the scan. White went to the other scanner. We both put our hand at the scans, and then, the reactor sabotage shut off.

We both blew a sigh of relief and then turned around to see yellows dead body.

White cursed, and his mini crewmate shrieked.

"What the-" I started to say but was interrupted when White quickly took out his megaphone.

"REPORT!"

We were back at the cafeteria. But before we did, me and White had to dump the oranges body into space so that the rotting smell would stop. Meanwhile, we brought yellows dead body to the cafeteria table.

"Where was the body?" Black said. "Yeah, where was it?" Cyan said. "It was in the reactor," I said. "Me and White saw the body at the same time."

"I can vouch for Pink," Cyan said. "He helped me when I fell" "Pink could have tried to do that to get an alibi, Cyan," Black said, rolling his eyes. "And also, where was everybody?"
"I was in electrical, doing my download task," Green said. "I was in the Navigation room with Purple," Blue said. "So it can't be him or me."
"That's true; he did come with me," Purple said. But Black ignored it. "It looks like Green was the one nearest to the scene of the crime," Black said.
"What?!" What do you mean? I was doing my download task!"
"But it could be a self-report," Purple included.

"It's not a self-report," I said. White could never have done such a thing."

"But it might be Red also," Cyan said. "I saw you fake the card swipe" "No, I didn't!" I snapped. "Pink told me how to do those tasks! Do you think I was doing nothing?

"You did do nothing," Pink pointed out."I had to help you out. You couldn't even swipe the card until I practically did it for you."

I gasped at Pink's insult, and Cyan gave a mischievous grin at me.

I suddenly got red. I was embarrassed and mad.

"Whoa Whoa," White said, backing me up. It's not red. He was with me and could have killed me anytime."

"That still doesn't prove that he's an imposter," Black said coldly. "Maybe you both are imposters, trying to kill Blue, and both do the reactor task and then self-reporting.

White snorted. "You think we're lying?! Do you think me and Red killed Blue and self-reported?! NO! Me and Red saw the body period! What kind of Brain for a detective do you even have?!"

Everybody gasped at what White was saying. Whites insult was worse than Pinks.

I stared at Black, who was turning a bit red.

Before Black could explode, Blue put a calm hand on his shoulder. "I think we have enough of this meeting; how about we just skip the vote and finish all our tasks?"

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea," Pink pointed out.

Black nodded and said to White in a terrifying voice that made him shrink in fear. "If you give me one more insult, I'll eject you into space, where nobody, not even your little mini-crewmate, could help you, understand?"

"Y-yes," White said in fear. Black then skipped his vote, and we all skipped too, and left the table to continue to our tasks.
