I looked at Marina who had a look of calm about her.
She looked over at me as the vines returned to the bracelet.
"I feel much better now." Marina turned to me, "You ready to go?"
I felt unnerved by what she had said. Just what was she so upset about. However, I didn't want to ask.
"Yeah sure."
We walk towards the tower for about an hour until we came to a city at the base of the tower. There was a large gate with guards standing at each side of the entrance and another checking everyone entering.
Beyond the gate I could see people moving every which way, children playing in the street, merchants selling wares.
We walked to the gate of the town and talked with the guards who had us fill out paperwork and pay for temporary identification to get into the city.
Before we entered the guards pointed us in the direction of a nearby inn. Though it took us about another thirty minutes before we actually found the inn.
We ended up getting a single room with two beds. Marina said she didn't want to waste money on two rooms.
