13th day of hell
Jimin hated the fact he had to spend his lunch break with his boss on a Wednesday afternoon. His week had been going well so far due to the fact taehyung had been too busy to annoy them. But today he decided to bother Jimin and ask him to have lunch with him. Something about discussing the trip and talking about ways he should be respecting him on the job.
He crossed his leg and sipped the Diet Coke while staring at Taehyung who didn't seem to like the staring too much.
"I could be eating with my friends but you dragged me here. So speak I know I'm pretty but you can stare another time." Taehyung scoffed and fanned the waiter.
"Order." Jimin looked at him.
"Are you sure? I'm feeling a little hungry today." Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"I don't care I just want to carry on." Jimin opened the menu and held it up to the waiter.
"I'll take a cheeseburger with an extra side of fries. Oh and a strawberry milkshake.... oh right these mozzarella sticks too." The waiter gave him a weird look and wrote it down.
Taehyung stared at him dumbfoundedly.
"Do you guys also have like cake? I can take a nice slice of vanilla cake thank you!!" The waiter nodded and turned to Taehyung.
"Anything for you sir?"
"No, I'm pretty sure watching his fat ass eat would make me full enough thank you." Taehyung closed the menu and handed it to him and Jimin rolled his eyes.
"Ok talk." He says.
"Well, I would like to talk about ourselves. I cant spend a whole weekend with someone who can't stand my presence and vice versa. So I want to resolve some things." Jimin laugh.
"At least you know." He smiles genuinely and Taehyung looked away.
"Whatever. What is it that you hate about me? If I know I can work on it and I'll tell you the things I hate about you." Jimin raised his eyebrows.
"Where should I start. You're full of yourself, you're so fucking bossy, lighten up dude we only live once, can you say something kind for once? Be a bit considerate, won't you? Stop taking your pent up anger out on me and your workers. Cant you see everyone is uncomfortable with you? Maybe try treating your workers with respect and give them some leverage you're so uptight you think just because you have money and you're such a young business owner everyone should bow down to you and suck your -,"
"Fuck ok I get! God Damn." He trailed off and rolled his eyes. It kind of hurt him just a bit to know that's how people felt about him. He took a deep breath and looked up at Jimin. Today was the last day he'd come to work before the business trip on Friday evening so he had to clear the air now.
"Ok... I-I'm-" he wanted to apologize for his attitude but he couldn't find the guts to.
"You're...." Jimin said while nodding his head.
"Before I continue let me say what I don't like about you." Jimin rolled his eyes. "You're way too sassy, you're rude, you have the mouth of a drunk trucker, you always have something to say. You never know when to stop and you don't know how to treat me with respect." Jimin nodded as the waiter arrived with the food. He placed it on the table and Jimin wowed.
"There's no fucking way you're going to eat all of that. " Jimin looked up.
"Watch me. And what you said about respect... I won't give you any if you don't give me any respect that's pretty much it." He began with the burger and moaned at the taste. Taehyung cleared his throat awkwardly and Jimin glanced at him
"I'm waiting for an apology." He says while eating a fry.
"I-I'm - I apologize." Jimin sighed.
"You know the actual word that goes s - o- r - r-y come on you can't have that much pride." He picks up the milkshake and sips it. It clicked in Taehyung's head that Jimin turned the whole thing on him and all of a sudden he was the one apologizing. How was he do manipulative??"
"I-I'm not saying it you deserve to apologize too." Jimin laughed and wiped his mouth.
"Excuse me Mr. Kim but if we can't 'Clear the air' before the end of the day I'm not going on the business trip I'll purposely miss the flight." Taehyung rolled his eyes and looked up.
"Just keep eating." He says sarcastically.
"Bet your ass I will."

The lunch break ended and Taehyung still hadn't genuinely apologized for anything he had done or the way he acts.
Jimin had eaten every drop of food the waiter brought to the table and even proceeded to burp loudly in which he covered his mouth and laughed with a small excuse me.
It was almost time for Jimin to clock out and Taehyung groaned he would lose his pride if he had to apologize but fuck it not only did he need Jimin to come on the trip. He wanted Jimin especially.
"Jimin to my office." Jimin looked up with a smug smile and walked into the office.
"Can I help you with anything Mr.Kim? Thank you so much for lunch today it was good. " Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Imsorry." He says in a rush. His own lips tripped over the simple words it was almost so hard to decipher. Jimin furrowed his eyebrows.
"Excuse me what was that? It went by a bit fast." He held his hand to his ear and Taehyung cursed.
"I'm sorry." Jimin grinned.
"I knew you'd come around. I'm sorry too Mr. Kim let's start treating each other with respect huh? Have a good night see you Friday!!" He waved and Taehyung let go of a deep breath.
"I-it wasn't that bad right?" He talks to himself and runs his hand through his hair. He picks up a picture frame on the desk with him and his mom and smiles.
He wondered if his mom was proud of where he was or disappointed with his lifestyle. He shrugged it off and placed the photo frame back on the desk. The door knocked and he yelled come in.
"Taehyung." A soft voice ringed in his ear and he looked up.
"Look who it is...Saeyeon. Husband out of town?" He glanced at his computer and continued working on the document he was typing up.
"Mhm and I'm free tonight." She took off the wedding ring and slipped it into her purse. "Maybe not in your office so that one dude won't walk in again." He chuckled.
"He just left but if you want to take it somewhere else tonight I don't mind, you know where I live." She nodded.
"We can meet at your place at 8?" He nodded and. "See you then Mr. Kim.
Taehyung nodded. What a wonderful way to end a Wednesday evening. He may have to finish himself off but at least he'd be getting laid.
