6th day of hell

After the busy weekend of spending loads of time with Sunji and meeting up with his lawyer yesterday Monday came back around quickly. It was his second week of work and he knew Taehyung might start being more of an asshole.

He currently stood in an elevator with Jungkook while they drank their coffee in silence. He turned towards Jungkook when he passed his floor.

"Dude your floor." Jungkook held up the extra cup of coffee he had.

"Jin." He says with a smile. Jimin rolls his eyes at his bestfriend that was head over heels for this guy he finally introduced himself to.

"How cute I guess." He mumbles sipping the coffee. The elevator opens and they both step through.  Waving good morning to Jin, Jimin walked past them and put his cup down to make his boss his cup of coffee.

He walked into the break room where he made the plane back coffee then walked to his office to set it on the desk. While doing so something caught his attention. It was a picture frame. He didn't think someone like Taehyung had anyone except Yoongi to take pictures with. He picked up the small frame and looked at the worn-out picture.

It was a little boy and a young woman. They hugged each other tightly and the young woman kissed the boy's cheek. Jimin looked at the boy closer and realized it was Taehyung.

"What are you doing here?" Jimin was startled nearly dropping the picture on the ground, but before he could do so it was grabbed out of his hand.

His boss looked tired and worn out, his eyes seemed to be a bit red and puffy as well.

"I-I was just setting the coffee down and saw the picture frame so i-,"

"Just get the fuck out." His voice was dark and fill with venom. Jimin flinched a bit when his hand pointed to the door and quickly left the office.

"What the fuck happened in there I heard him growl," Jin whispered.

"I-i just picked up a picture frame and he walked in and got all angry." Jimin would normally be able to snap back even if he was in the wrong but he had looked so angry he was afraid of someone for the first time in his life.

"Wait.. do you mean a picture frame of a little boy and a woman?" Jimin nodded. "Great goodness Jimin you found trouble. That's his mom." He says with a whisper.

"ok..." Jimin trails off.

"That died, six years ago. Today." Jimin brought his hands up to his mouth. It explained why he had looked like he was crying. What was his luck that he just happened to pick up the picture the day his mother died while he walked into the office?

"I feel so bad." He whispers. "Why did he even bother coming into work?"

"You see Jimin I've been to enough team dinners to hear all the gossip. He opened his own business to help his mother live comfortably. I heard they were pretty unfortunate people while he grew up, his mom was single and worked multiple jobs and sometimes they questioned where their next meal was from." Jimin found it hard to believe Taehyung had gone from rags to riches. He acted as if he had been rich his whole life.

"How do you even know all of this stuff?" Jimin mumbled.

"Like I said, dinner gossip. But the next thing I heard is that Yoongi helped him a lot. They were friends and Yoongi came from an opposite background of entrepreneurs, doctors, and lawyers. so he's not completely self mad." Jin whispers.

"Tell me more." They both turn around with wide eyes to see yoongi. Jin gasps and bows with a string of apologies. "No need it's quite amusing how stuff gets spread around in this office. I should come to one of these team dinners of your huh?" He smiles and hugs Jimin who had reached out to hug him.

"Please don't tell him we were gossiping, He's already kind of mad at me because I picked up a frame of his mother. If he could've killed me then he would've." He whispers the last part and Yoongi winces.

"What a day to do so...." he trails off and Jimin facepalms.

"I said the same thing, oh and I think the next team dinner is Wednesday night right after my shift which is like 6 o clock." Yoongi nods.

"I didn't call you here so you can talk to my employees and arrange dinners Yoongi." They both turned to the entrance to see Taehyung standing there with his arms crossed. He looked even more menacing than usual.

"You didn't but I have a right to. Calm down Taehyung." Yoongi says. Both Jimin and Jin could see the smoke blowing out of his ears. He glared and walked back into the office.

"He just needs to understand that he shouldn't still be mourning like this. It's a lot I know it must be but it's been six years. I'll talk to him see you guys in a few." He waved and they waved back.

"So how was the date?" Jimin opened his mouth then blushes.

"I-it was ok. I mean it wasn't perfect and exactly what I'm into but I enjoyed it." Jin frowns.

"Did you not click?" Jimin shrugs.

"Maybe I'm just numb it's been years since I've gone on a date. The only guy I know how to talk to is Jungkook." He laughs and goes behind their desk.

"But you liked the date with him?" Jin aggressively nods.

"He was amazing and hilarious. I don't understand how you're just friends with him." Jin blurts Jimin furrowed his eyebrows and smiles.

"You think I'm not?"

"What? No, I wasn't saying it like ... that it's just that he's such good boyfriend material and you've known him for a while... right?"

"Yeah but he's nothing more than a friend for the thousandth time. He's not even my type." Jin lets go of a deep breath.

"What is your type?" Jimin thought for a while.

"I don't know but definitely not Jungkook. If you were friends with him for a while you'd probably feel the same way."  Jimin's mind strayed away from that one drunken night with Jungkook that always seemed to intrude their mind.

"This may sound silly but if you had a history with Jungkook would you tell me? I really really like him and I've been cheated on before and-,"

"Jin calm down. Jungkook and I have no history." He lies.

"Ok." Jin sighs. "I trust you so much. Thank you for being a friend in the past week." He hugs Jimin and Jimin's eyes went wide.

Fuck.
