It was the start of a new day. "I-It's been 24 hours seen the alien attack" Brooke told us in the cafeteria. "The parasites have made their imposters now". There was a tight knot in my stomach. I felt nervous for all of us.

We brought our tablets from our bedrooms and we were prepared to do our tasks. We all had 5 tasks each on every day. We had also been informed on some new stuff from the Captain. Imposters don't do tasks and they can sabotage the place. "Do you think we should go into teams?" Pumpkin asked us. "That way, it'll be harder for the imposter to kill us". "Great idea Pumpkin" Brooke told her. "Okay, form into groups based on the task you're assigned".

Me, Lime and Vincent stayed in the cafeteria cause our first task was there. The other crewmates walked to the other rooms in the Skeld. Some of them went in groups or duos, like Nutella and Andy and Lemon with his sister. Some went the risky way and walked alone. "So, what do you do in your spare time?" I asked Lime. They had their hand on the garbage chute lever. I thought that maybe I should make some friends while I get the chance. "Oh, I used to own a garden back on Earth" they told me. "But now I usually read and stuff". "Oh cool!" I smiled. "Anyways, I'll be going to Communications if you need me". "See you later". Lime waved and pulled the lever.

As I was walking to Communications, Pumpkin walked up to me. "Hey Fuchsia" she said to me. "Oh, hey Pumpkin!" I told her. "You need some help?". "Well not exactly help" she told me. "Just wanted to show you something". "Well, please don't kill me" I chuckled. "No worries, I won't" she told me and held my hand. As we walked, I looked at the various rooms we passed and started realising the vents in the floor. We stopped at Shields. There was also a vent there.

"Watch this" Pumpkin told me. She twisted my head towards a small window and pressed a few buttons on the controller. I saw some lights on the ship light up outside. "Oh cool!" I gasped. "We have tasks here which people can actually see so you can use those visual tasks to prove your innocence" Pumpkin explained. "Oh, that's pretty smart!" I chuckled. "Ah, I just happened to find that out" Pumpkin said. "Anyways kid, you should go and do your tasks wherever". "Ah, okay" I told her. "I'll vouch for you if they report a body or do an emergency meeting". "Okay" she replied to me.

When I walked into Communications about to do my task, the lights suddenly flicked off. "Wh-What's happening!?" I yelled. "Stay calm guys!" Pumpkin shouted to us from Shields. "Just get to Electrical and turn on the lights!". I walked of the room and walked down the hall.

There were sounds coming from all around me. I opened my tablet and tried finding my way to Electrical in the dark. As soon as I reached Electrical, somebody else had already fixed the lights. Lemon and Andy. Nutella was standing near them. "Oh the lights are fixed" I said.

"It was only a few flicks on some of the light switches" Daisy told us. "It was kind of hard to do it in the dark though" Andy said.

"Ayy bruv, we should get back to work". Nutella tugged on Andy's arm. "I got some tasks to do in Navigation". "I got some near them in O2" Andy told her and they walked out of Electrical. "So, how has the crewmate life been for you?" Lemon asked me. "Pretty stressful" I chuckled. "Brother, we have to do our tasks" Daisy told him.

"Oh sorry, got to go!" he told me and mimicked some finger guns at me. "See you later" I told him and walked back towards Communications. Suddenly, I heard a loud sound throughout the Skeld. It was Nutella. "ME AND ANDY FOUND A DEAD BODY" she shouted.

My stomach felt sick again. Somebody.. killed? I ran to where the sound was coming from. In the hallway near Shields. As I stepped closer, I saw Andy and Nutella's horrified faces. There were a few other people who had heard too.

And there the body was. Sprawled across the hallway floor, covered in blood. Was Pumpkin's body. There was blood coming out of a stab wound in her chest. My stomach felt sick and nervous again. Daisy was covering her eyes with her ponytail and Lemon hugging her close. Angie and Lime were cowering behind Andy. Brooke and Vincent just looked surprised and afraid. "No..." I muttered under my breath. Somebody among us had just killed Pumpkin.

We had to discuss her murder in the cafeteria. "I can't believe P-Pumpkin's dead.." Angie stuttered. Her fingers were twitching and she was breathing rapidly. "W-Well we have to discuss about who we think murdered her" Brooke told us. "We have to d-do this". "Okay first of all, who was near Shields?" Andy asked us. Nobody answered. "To be honest, F-Fuchsia did have a task in Communications" Lime told us. "I'm not saying he's the imposter or anything, but-".
