RAIN WOKE up to an empty room, a random empty room. She was glad that she wasn't in Keith's room because she was too frustrated to even speak to him right now.
She hated him.
No.
She wanted to hate him, but how can she hate Keith?
I don't owe you anything.
I couldn't care less about you.
His words echoed in her mind and her heart clenched at the thought, she growled in frustration and screamed into the pillow.
Fuck the mate bond, she thought.
It was messing with her mind, and most of all her heart, he was messing with her heart.
And then she paused, Keith does care about her. He has to, otherwise why would he be worried about her?
"Pfft, his worry was for Kiana. Definitely not me." She muttered.
He's our mate, of course he'll be worried about us!
Her wolf said, trying to reason with her.
"He sure showed how worried he was." She said with heavy sarcasm.
He didn't mean it!
"Why are you defending him?"
He's our mate.
Was her wolf's final response.
"Mate my ass." She spoke with a roll of her eyes, if he really was her mate then he'd explain things to her instead of hiding it.
But no.
He clearly showed how much he cared for her through his actions, and that was probably a small amount.
In fact he probably wanted to get into her pants and now that he did, he didn't need her anymore. Rain growled at the thought.
Her mind drifted off to Kiana, she would never blame the youngster for what she had done but knowing Kiana she knew the pup- if you could even call her that, would cry and cry about how much she is to blame.
Rain let out a sigh and looked up at the ceiling.
This was all fucked up, she thought.
Her life was one big fuck up.
"Rain?"
"Hm?"
"Can I come in?"
"Mhm,"
She watched as the door opened and in came Nevaeh with a sad smile.
"I heard what happened."
"Hm."
She figured, it was pretty loud anyways.
"I'm sorry." Nevaeh muttered.
I am too.
"Mhm."
"Are you alright?"
No.
"Mhm."
"Can you say anything apart from 'mhm'?"
"No." Rain said and rolled to her side, turning her back on Nevaeh. She was so angry and frustrated at Keith.
"Wow, okay. And here I thought males wouldn't get in between us. So much for that bs,"
Rain let out a sigh and turned back around.
