31 | Athanasia

SHE HAD never expected this.

The male had half his face burned off, the burn was so severe Rain could notice bones seeping through the pink, reddish flesh. Bits off his skin was charcoal black with infected yellow around the pink flesh.

She had noticed his ears, ear to be specific.

He was missing half an ear, there were faint scars- claw marks embedded into his skin where the ear once had been. Someone must have clawed at his ear.

"W-who did this?" Rain stuttered, her eyes were wide as saucers upon seeing him. He looked like he came out of a horror film.

The male grinned, showcasing his clear teeth. Rain shivered, the grin was anything but normal, there was a sick look in his eyes, a thirst, hunger for the person who did this. Rain had a thought but she needed to hear it from him.

"Your precious little mate of course." He cooed, anything but kindness seeping through his glowing orbs.

Her gaze shifted behind him, the small movement which got her attention and she gasped in shock. How had she not realised?

There were two human hunters with weapons, silver weapons.

"Werewolf and humans, n-not possible." She muttered.

The hoodie guy chuckled.

"Believe it, and we're not werewolves, we're rouges." He spat, the word 'werewolf' sounding bitter on his tongue. "We will never be your kind."

"This isn't possible, how did you create that?" Rain spoke, referring to the silver.

He grinned.

"One word love, vampire."

Her heart dropped.

The frown etched on her face and her finger began to shake, the only vampire alive was Kiana but it wasn't possible as Kiana was safe with Keith, they had silver way before that.

Maybe they've had it for years.

"No. You're lying." She growled, she didn't want to think about it, it couldn't be possible, could it?

"Very well."

He began to whistle and the two human hunters walked off, Rain was confused but when they returned with another chained figure, her eyes widened.

The figure was skinny, looking like it had been starved to death and it appeared pale and dead. Still, lifeless.

Why would they bring a dead-

Rain jumped in shock when the so called dead figure came to life, it was female, her eyes turned red at the sight of the hoodie guy and her fangs began showcasing themselves. She seemed to have strength as she got up, hissing at the hoodie guy.

"I will kill you Nathaniel."

And then she launched at him, her strength no match for the two humans who were struggling to keep her in one place.

Nathaniel's eyes widened and he began barking orders, three rouges put her down but she continued hissing.

"You had always been out of control Athanasia."

"Athanasia?" Rain blurted out.

"Who is this?" Athanasia spoke, the red orbs still flashing violently.

Nathaniel chuckled and both females glanced at him with a glare.

"Rain meet Athanasia the vampire princess, Athanasia meet Rain, Keith's mate."
