He was shaken awake with a roaring voice in his ear. It was unpleasant. For a moment he thought he was still at Camila's but the overbearing smell of perfume jolted his body awake. His breath caught when he saw Sheridan standing in front of him, visibly angry. "What do you want, Sheridan?" He groaned into his pillow, covering his ears. What a pleasant way to wake up.

She stomped on her foot with a pouted lip. She looked like a baby who didn't get what she wanted. "Where were you all night? And why weren't you answering my texts?" He felt like he was living back at his parents where his mother would interrogate him the following morning after disappearing and coming home late. "Why do you care?" Shawn was annoyed. He never could understand her. She can go out with whoever she wants but the second Shawn isn't at her beck and call, it's the end of the fucking world. "Fuck you." She spat before turning her heel. Sheridan worked for finance and sales. Shawn wouldn't be an ass, she's good at what she does but what she wasn't good at was a relationship and Shawn was partly to blame for it too. However, she's had experience, she was his first for everything so what he once thought was so right, is actually the wrongest thing there was. "I'm going to work. Try not to fuck anyone while I'm gone." Shawn smirked, "try not to fuck anyone in your office, not that I give a shit." She walked out, not saying a word but instead giving him the finger before walking out of the apartment. Sighing, he stood up from his bed and decided against breakfast. He couldn't bring himself to going into the kitchen that was an uttered embarrassment. He doesn't even know why he agreed to letting Camila come over and look at this dump. This wasn't him. It was never him. But it was the road he was going down with Sheridan in the picture.

She knocked on the door of his apartment that she was given the number of. She was nervous. Upon coming here, she spoke to Shawn over the phone and he warned her that there was broken glass in the kitchen, the living room was out of order, and he didn't want to get started on the bedroom. Camila assured him that she didn't care and none of that mattered, that's why she'd be coming over anyway. That and because she wanted to see him again. He greeted her and welcomed her in. Besides the minor messes, Camila thought his apartment looked lovely. "God, how many dishes did you break?" She asked, beginning to pick up some of the pieces and throwing them into the trash. "Quite a bit." He sighed, not proud of that statement. Shawn helped a bit too and in no time did the apartment look his again.

"This your ashtray?" She asked and Shawn shook his head, a scowl on his face. "No, I... I'm trying to quit... that's Sheridan's." She nodded and was quite curious as to why he started smoking in the first place.

He sat next to her on the couch that he could now sit on without feeling disgusting. "I met Sheridan at a local party of my friend's... and we talked and got to know each other and at this point I was attracted to her. Pathetic, I know." He chuckled nervously, "she offered me one and I didn't want to lose a chance with her so I took it and ever since, I've been smoking but I've been cutting back and I'm trying to quit. I realize how bad it is for you."

"My dad was a smoker." Camila said as she fumbled with the ashtray in her hand and Shawn didn't like how she seemed so upset. He wanted to shield her from all the harm and danger in the world. If he could, he would. "So was I..." she admitted slowly, never once making eye contact with Shawn. "I quit though. My mom's a smoker too and I used to be a heavy drinker but I cut back on that as well... I don't want to be sick down the road. It's not worth it." Shawn nodded. She was right. It wasn't worth it at all and when he had mentioned to Sheridan about cutting back before because he may be an ass sometimes and she may be a pain in the ass all the time, he still didn't want to see her die because of a cigarette. "Actually," she perked up, "I read this book and it actually really helped me quit and get through it... I could give it to you sometime if you want."
