It's been four days. Four days since Shawn and Camila had last seen and spoken to each other. She was serious about not talking anymore. She wouldn't answer his texts. Instead, she hit him with 'read' and he hated the silence between them. There was no way he could make things better for them because what's done is done. There was one thing however that he knew he had to do. The way the name "cheater" came out of Camila's mouth didn't sit right with him. The label clenched at his heart but he knew he deserved it and so did Sheridan. Her calling his relationship fucked up was the truth that needed to be told but with certainty, he knew that this was the only kind of love he was capable of. He wasn't capable of the passionate and sensitive love that he could sense that Camila gave. It would be a waste for her to dedicate herself and her love to him when he sure as hell wasn't deserving of it.

Shawn stood in front of Sheridan in the living room as Sheridan blew the smoke of her cigarette in his face. He was craving one as of right now but he knew better. And as much as he tried to get her to stop, she wouldn't and he knew not to even try. There was one thing he needed to do though as per Camila's request. This time around, he was scared to come clean about what really happened in Canada. As far as Sheridan knew, he was there to take some photos for Connor and returned after a lonely trip when other activities were involved. Usually admitting to doing these things would be easy for them but it wasn't this time around. He knew that it was scarier because deep down in his heart he knew that this wouldn't fix anything between Camila and him and that's what stung the most.

"I lied." He said defeated, his face in his hands as he sat next to her on their couch. He couldn't look at her. "I didn't go to Toronto for work. I went... I went because Camila was visiting her mom and I went with her."

"Fuck." Sheridan muttered, "you know, Shawn... she's a waste of your time. She's too good for you, God knows that and you know that. The fuck would you go with her for? So you could have your heart broken? You know I'd never break your heart the way she would." Her words rang through his ears as it began to sting. He didn't want to believe that but she was probably right. Camila wouldn't intentionally break his heart but she'd most definitely leave him after finding out the way he is. She knew him but she didn't know how insecure he was. "That's not it." Shawn mumbled into his hands, scrubbing his face with them.

"What is it, babe?"

"We had sex. We were drunk and it just happened. I'm sorry. I know, you and I... we're used to that kind of thing but Camila wanted me to tell you. And don't worry, she hates me so I won't be seeing her anytime soon."

"I forgive you. You were drunk. It's not like you meant it."

But he did. Even while intoxicated, he meant it.

"Right. It didn't mean anything." He said, swallowing down the lump in his throat.

Camila struggled to find last minute Christmas gifts as she practically ran around the store in attempts to find something. Anything. Life without Shawn felt empty. She hated to admit that though. She just missed the way they used to speak about anything and everything. She missed knowing that they both had a shoulder to cry on whenever they needed one. In such a short amount of time, she had met her best friend and lost him. She hated that she let her drunk, horny self get herself in that situation that ruined it all but what she hated even more was that she didn't remember it and she didn't like how her feelings were now being hardly swallowed to hide.

She was excited for Christmas this year but it saddened her that she obviously couldn't spend it with Shawn, not that they'd be with one another anyway. On Christmas Eve, she'd have dinner and a sleepover with her best friends and have breakfast all together on Christmas Day before parting ways to spend the rest of the holiday with their families. That's what sucked the most for Camila. She had no one to go to afterwards and she'd be left alone in her decorated apartment wondering how the hell her life has gotten down to this. There was one last person she was anticipating on shopping for—Shawn. She knew they weren't on good terms and she wasn't sure if she could fully trust him but it wouldn't hurt to get him a present. She decided on what she'd get him this year and she was hoping he'd appreciate it.
