Camila woke up entangled in Shawn's strong arms. It startled her to no end. Her heart raced as she had no idea how they ended up cuddling but she was quick to detach herself from him, making sure that he wasn't awakened. She wanted him to be awoken with breakfast made as she assumed Sheridan never made him breakfast considering the depths of their relationship. She wasn't trying to destroy whatever it was they had that hasn't plummeted yet. However, she wasn't one to hate on someone but Sheridan made her feel the painful feeling of anger in the pit of her stomach. She thought she could tolerate her but her patience wasn't as high as she told herself it was. Seeing Shawn cry and breakdown hurt her heart. Someone like him. So sweet and gentle, didn't deserve the pain he was feeling. Camila's never loved a man besides her father before so she wasn't sure herself what love entirely was but she did know what she wanted. It was anything but what Sheridan and Shawn had.
Camila heard shuffling behind her as she flipped a pancake, "what are you making?" His voice was groggy and husky and as she turned to him, she got a full display of his rock hard, toned abs, messy curls, and tired but beautiful eyes. She smiled gently before placing the last pancake on the platter, "I made breakfast!" She enthusiastically muttered as she showed off the pancakes that she was thoroughly impressed with. They sat and ate and when she asked if he was okay from last night, he shrugged and smiled. She knew that he was still hurting and felt as if nobody loved him. Being with someone and in a relationship like that for a year would definitely mess with her head and her heart. He was slowly becoming one of the strongest people she knew when it comes to relationships and the aspect of "love".
As they sat across the table from one another, they shared subtle glances and cheeky grins with their cheeks painted a crimson red. Shawn admired her as she looked down at her pancakes. Her beautiful long curls cascading and shaping her face. Her eyes that radiates all kinds of wonders. The smile that he couldn't get enough of. She was so perfect and that scared him. He was eating breakfast with a girl that is perfect. She might not see it but in his eyes, she was flawless. Her flaws made her so pure and blissful. When their eyes met or when she'd simply walk into a room, his stomach dropped and his breathing hitched. She quite literally took his breath away.
He raised an eyebrow as she finally looked up at him after he shamelessly admired her from not too afar for quite a few minutes, "so... your friends..." his voice trailed, in hopes that she'd finish the sentence for him. She chuckled softly, "they're really nice. I've known them since university. Hailey and Justin are dating, my friend Taylor from the coffee shop, Ariana, and Niall. They'll love you." She reassured. He nodded. He didn't have many close friends. Mainly because he didn't care enough to. His only true close friend was Connor who was the one that owned the studio he worked at and well, Sheridan but often times, Shawn never considered her one although he knew that your significant other and you should be close. Now, he had Camila. He would say that they were now close despite the little time they've spent together.

Shawn was skeptical of meeting Camila's friends but once they introduced themselves to one another and talked for a bit, he was glad that he agreed to coming to meet them. They were kind and entertaining. Shawn sat next to Camila on the couch and enjoyed the way she smiled so widely and threw her head back in laughter with a glass of wine in her hand. She looked happy. He was happy. They were happy. For once, he didn't worry about what Sheridan thought or what others thought of him because they accepted him and engaged with him. He got to know them as they got to know him in return. Shawn was inquisitive with Camila and noticed how she almost gagged at the taste of the wine in her hand. He almost chuckled out loud as everyone else was telling stories and he tried his best to listen but he was too mesmerized. He took the glass from her hand and finally, she turned to him, raising an eyebrow at him. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "I'll drink this. No sense in punishing you with something you don't like. I'll get you something else and I'll drink this." They didn't notice but everyone else was watching this happen in awe. It seemed to be nothing but it was everything, even to Camila. Just the way he noticed and thought of her, doing things for her without even having to ask. The group of friends gave each other a knowing look as Shawn left to get Camila something else. "What?" She shrugged, a smirk tugging at her lips. "He likes you." Ariana quietly squealed while Camila shook her head, "he has a girlfriend." She said sternly as Shawn walked in on their friendly teasing, handing her a glass of the fresh wine he poured her.
