Shawn hated the silence between Camila and him. He'd see her walk into work but she never met her beautiful champagne eyes with his. Since the night they broke off contact, there's been a painful heaving in his chest. He's felt so lost and almost as if he's lost someone so intricate to his life. How could someone nuzzle themselves so deeply into your life in a matter of days? He didn't have the answer to that but what he did know was that he wasn't complaining. He missed her. Her laugh, her smile, her eyes, everything about her. Times with Sheridan have been hell. That night, he noticed the way she cried and the way she laughed, pulling him into a hug that felt cold and distant—nothing like Camila's. Sheridan pulled the "I told you so" and attempted to relax him by letting him know that she was right and that no one would ever love him for him. He cried in his room when Sheridan was gone and he screamed when he felt as if no one could hear him. And if he didn't believe that no one would love him before, he sure as hell believed it now.

Camila wasn't taking it too well either. She hated that she let herself get so close to him just to push him away. She thought she was doing the right thing but maybe Shawn needed her. She thought she needed him. After her sister called for the first time in so long, her heart sunk. She had announced that their mother was in the hospital for attempting an overdose with an elusive amount of drugs and although Camila hasn't spoken to her mother in years, it didn't make her feel any better that her own blood was doing something horrible to herself. She didn't know if she should see her and fly out to Toronto but what if it just made things worse? Her mom hated her and Camila wished she could say the same. Despite the despicable things her mother had put her through before, Camila wasn't one to completely shut someone out like she did to her. If Camila was being honest, she didn't know what it was like to truly have a motherly figure in her life. It was usually her dad and her grandparents caring for her and her little sister whilst her mom indulged herself in tequila and cigarettes.

To get her mind off of things, she decided to go on a walk and let her feet lead the way. She didn't know where she was going but it was cold. The cold air nipping at her toes as she tried to stay warm. She found herself at the coffee shop but today Taylor wasn't working but she sighed and ordered, sitting at the very back near the window, losing herself in her book. The sound of the bell that indicated someone had walked in rang and her head shot up, soon her eyes widening and her heart dropping. Shawn was here with Sheridan. They walked in hand and hand. Camila could feel the jealousy arising in her stomach but instead chose to hide herself in her book, praying to all the Gods out there that they wouldn't spot her. She tried to not pay too much attention to the couple ordering but when Sheridan perked up, her mouth turning to a scowl as she made her way over to where Camila peacefully was, Camila knew that things wouldn't be able to get any better. Shawn didn't notice at first but when he did, he felt guilty for showing up with Sheridan when he knew that Camila was much more someone he'd want to be here with.

The tapping of Sheridan's heels, inching closer to Camila made her stomach turn. "Oh, Casey!" Camila's face turned to disgust at the stench of cigarettes that lingered in Sheridan's breath. "It's Camila." She said plainly, not looking up from her book. Sheridan sat herself across from Camila, picking up her coffee cup and laughing at what she'd chosen to drink which was quite foolish if you asked Camila. Who judges someone on the things they liked?

"Black coffee?" She asked and to that Camila nodded. "Oops." She said with a fake pout as she spilled it, almost nearing Camila. Shawn watched this happen and his insides burned. He angrily walked towards them, frantically getting some paper towels to help Camila. Sheridan was childish and it almost made Camila chuckle. "Shawn, stop!" She told him, standing to her feet, her eyes finally meeting Shawn's. His eyes were puffy, almost as if he's been crying and for a second she forgot where she was and who she was with. But she turned back to reality and cleaned things up herself, shoving Shawn away as he attempted to help her.
