Eleven - Renee

Jasmine's hand waits so patiently for mine, and I feel so grateful for her accepting my slow pace. "Ah, nice to meet you," I shake her hand, "It's Renee, but I am pretty sure you already knew that haha," I chuckle, hiding my embarrassment while my hand is still shaking hers. She lets go first, and her smile just grows bigger. "You seem like someone who admires both, coffee and tea. That's pretty cool." She starts the conversation again, and I feel bad for someone who tries to make a conversation with me because I am not that social. I glance at the iced tea and caramel frappe, and glance back at Jasmine, A smile takes over my face. "Oh, the iced tea is for my grandma, and the caramel frappe is for me," I tell her, feeling confident around her.

She sounds so genuine like we clicked. She understood me and vice versa. It was like we were best friends who lost touch in between and finally met. Every time she laughs gives me a boost of happiness. In such a short span of time, we started from favorite drinks to this cafe, even about facts that we didn't know we had in ourselves until we told each other. She makes me feel good about myself.

"So you're saying, you aren't social?" She teases me, still not believing that I am not social. "You're a florist, Renee, awh come on." She and I laugh. "Yeah, but I am like, you know - still learning." My voice fades as I finish the sentence. "Wait, how do you know I am a florist?" I ask her, and I am glad my voice still is serene. Her eyes blink, that's a yes. "Luna couldn't stop talking about you," She starts to speak, while I sip onto the caramel frappe. No wonder this is my go-to flavor. It tastes like the caramel syrup you have with waffles and the whipping cream just doesn't budge. The coffee is faint in the taste, however, it leaves a good impression on your taste buds.

"I wanted to search for Luna so I told Valerio about it. We both started to search for her, and so we came outside. Valerio found Luna at your flower shop," She continues, and I can't help but ask, "Luna didn't tell you where she went?" "She didn't because it was a surprise, and she told me to wait. I started to become impatient and-" "Curiosity got the best of you-" "me," we finished the sentence in sync. "You know me so well, Renee." Jasmine gives me a high five. "So what happened next?" I ask, slurping onto my drink now. Jasmine laughs at my interest. "I think we will get along very well," Jasmine says, making my cheeks burn. We share another high five.

Jasmine goes through how Luna came out of my shop and presented her with the bouquet. "It was worth the wait actually, she stood right out the door of your shop and said 'SURPRISE!' and I couldn't help but run into her arms. She makes me feel like the movies and I don't know where I would be if I didn't meet Luna." She confesses, blushing at Luna's name. This makes me fall into a puddle of love. "AW! Jas, that sounds so adorable, I am glad you're glad." I tell her, it's true. I feel so proud that my flowers make relationships stronger.

"Renee, you're so sweet, -" She sighs, "Is everything okay?" I ask her, eyes filled with concern. I can't say if the sigh was a good one or that she wanted to say something. "My legs are killing me, haha," Jasmine says, and that's when I realize we have been standing the entire time. She sits on the chair opposite me and I grab a chair from another table and sit on it. "How did you know how I looked though?" I have my queries. "Ah, Luna and I saw you and Valerio walking back to the party." She smiled casually.
