Twenty Three: Battling Cordelia's Demon

-Sirius-

"Wh-what do you mean she's a demon?" Cristobal asks shock.

"I-I mean her heartbeat is faster, and her scent is different. I sent Shiva to check it out and he said that he even talked with her demon!" I hissed freaking out.

"Okay okay calm down." Cris tries to calm me.

"Calm down? Calm down! My soulmate is a fucking demon which means that damn dragon turned her! I'm gonna fucking kill him!" I yelled pissed off.

"Sirius you need to calm down, how do you know it was him? What if it was someone else?" Cris asks me trying to calm me still.

"Who else could've it been? That dragon was the one who kidnapped her!" I yelled fighting to control my demon.

"Yes but we still don't know if he's actually working for someone himself, or something could've happened since they left." Cris explains to me.

"I guess so, but we need to hurry and get to Cordelia she's not gonna be able to control herself." I say worriedly.

Cristobal nods as we both ran back in as quickly as we could before I started telling everyone what happened. Everyone gasped in shock, and I think Jessamyn nearly fainted from the news. Michael went wide-eyed as he couldn't believe what he just heard. Chax went wide-eyed as well as he tries to fan Jessamyn, and Brigid went pale from the news. I quickly told everyone that we need to leave to help her and everyone agrees, but the hard part came up which made me hesitate for a quick second.

"Jessamyn and Cris I need you two to stay here with Michael." I tell them almost guilty.

"What!" They yell in sync.

"I'm sorry but trying to tame a newly turned demon is highly dangerous, and I don't want you two to get hurt." I tell them upset.

"I hate to say it but I have to agree with him." Chax says sighing.

"Okay but why do I have to stay with them?" Michael asks confused.

"You're an angel, and they are human. I figured you could protect them while we are gone." I tell him hoping he will help us.

"Alright. I'll stay but don't get yourselves killed." Michael tells us.

"We won't." I tell him.

"I don't want to stay here! I want to help!" Jessamyn yells.

Chax hugs her before started to explain to her why it's a good idea for her to stay. I glance over at Cris who looks a bit upset from the idea of staying as well. I felt bad suggesting it, but I don't want them to die. I walk over to Cris before patting him on the shoulder, but he pulls me into a hug which made me freeze from shock. He never did this before, it's a bit weird.

"Don't get yourself killed Sirius." Cris tells me pulling away.

"I won't. I promise." I tell him with a smile.

"Good. Now go and help your girl!" Cris tells me with a smile back.

"I will." I say.

I tell everyone to follow me as we teleported to where I can sense Cordelia. Chax and Brigid follow as we appear at a place we least expected it. We didn't have much time to think about it as we instantly saw a demon and it's bigger than mine by a few inches. I turn towards the others before nodding, and we all transform into our demons before rushing towards the demon. Which I knew was Cordelia so I headed for her and knocked her down to the ground. Cordelia screams out which pierced my ears almost making them ring. I slam my giant hand over her mouth shutting her up, and she squirmed before glaring at me with blood-red eyes. Where have I seen those before? I thought almost distractedly.
