Chapter 2

Hazel POV
Yesterday was a long day but I got through it.When Freddie left it was quite stressful and didn't really sleep.When he was about to leave I heard him cursing to himself.saying things like "shit I forgot I had a date last night"
It's probably my fault that he had missed it.I feel bad.
(School alarm went off)
(I walk to breakfast as I tried to find were the others were sitting)
Kiki:I'm sorry that there's no space
Me:it's fine there's one over there
Poppy:Mrs Kingsley calling you
(I walked over to her and she made me sit down next to Freddie)
Me:umm
Mrs Kingsley:did you take your medication?
Me:ye and you don't have to remind me all the time
Mrs Kingsley:I'm sorry I just need to make sure.Remember you can tell me anything okay
Me:I don't know who to trust anymore at this point
(Freddie held my hand under that table for reassurance)
(I looked around the tables to see Poppy giving me glares.I dropped Freddie hand to see his expression changed)
Freddie:Are you okay?
Me:why wouldn't I be
(I stood up from my table barely touching my food)
Me:please may I excuse myself
Mrs Kingsley:don't let your food get to waste
Me:please may I leave
Mrs Kingsley:eat some of your food and then you may
(I sat back down looking directly at poppy as I plopped a piece of fruit in my mouth)
Freddie:Hazel spit it out,You ate a strawberry
(It was too late I had already swallowed it.My airways started to get smaller and started to have difficulty breathing.I tried gasping for air as I heard the sound of Freddie crying.Next thing you know I felt a piercing feeling in my thigh)
COUPLE OF HOURS LATER
Let's just say my head was throbbing sooo bad.
Mrs Kingsley:How are you feeling?
Me:disgusted
Mrs Kingsley:how comes
Me:really look at the state I'm in
Mrs Kingsley:a fire alarm will go off in a sec it's only a drill so you can stay in your room if you'd like
Me:okay
Mrs Kingsley:I'll see you later
Me:sure bye
(I got out through the window and climbed the ladder to Freddie's room.Only to see Poppie and him making out.)
Me:I'm sorry
Freddie:what a short notice
Me:I'll leave
Poppie:okay
(She giggled)
Freddie:wait
(I got out through the window to the roof and Layed down as I looked up to the sky.The alarm went off as students started lining up outside.)
Freddie:figured you'd be here
Me:yup
Freddie:I'm sorry you walked into that
Me:How does your mum allow that.I thought she'd get mad
Freddie:I guess she's an exception
Me:wow and when You kissed me before your mum went ballistic
Freddie:I remember that time
(Awkward silence)
Freddie:so did you take your medicine
Me:I haven't actually been taking it for a while
Freddie:you have to
Me:I don't care anymore
Freddie:come on do this for me
Me:what are you scared of me now
Freddie:no I'm not it's just others
Me:you sound just like your mother
Freddie:no I don't come on
Me:Freddie I came here to feel the breeze and forget the stress I'm in so can you just shut up or leave
(Freddie felt taking back)
Freddie:I'm only trying to help you
(He tried to reach for me as i hit his hand away)
Me:don't touch me.I don't trust you anymore so go kiss your bitchy girlfriend
Freddie:Hazel this is not like you
Me:WELL I DON'T KNOW WHO TO BE ANYMORE OKAY.SO LEAVE ME ALONE
(Everyone attention went to Freddie and Hazel as they saw her losing her temper on the roof.)
Freddie:Hazel come here
Poppy:Freddie get down from there your gonna fall
Mrs Kingsley:BOTH OF YOU GET DOWN HERE NOW
Freddie:poppy don't interfere move.She's gonna-
Me:gonna what Freddie....spit it out
Me:I'm gonna push her right
(Poppy tried to calm Hazel down as she tried to grab her)
Me:let go of me.You've ruined everything.I thought I'd be coming back to my friends,my dorm but NO it had to be you
Me:why do you guys act like you care for me
Freddie:Hazel
Poppy:stop that hazel
Me:why care about me?Go kiss each other in another room.I'm done
(Poppy tried to take a hold of hazel and hazel moved backwards away.Poppy lost her balance and fell of of the roof into a bush. People started crying.Everyone looked at me terrified)
Me:oh no I've really done it this time
Freddie:Hazel what DID YOU DO
That's when I knew I had lost everyone,everything,hope,joy.I would be in that hospital sooner or later.There I was left standing there hopeless.Felt as if I was dying.As if my life was flashing before my eyes.
Mrs Kingsley:Hazel my office now
(At lease the ambulance came and she only broke her arm)
Mrs Kingsley:do you know how you could OF KILLED HER
(I couldn't even hear anything anymore and if I had just blacked out from the world.I sat there motionless,silent)
Me:you can take me away now
Mrs Kingsley:what do you mean?
Me:whether I didn't do it or not I would of ended up in the same place
Mrs Kingsley:where is this going?
Me:I was gonna end up in that rehab centre.That hospital for sick people right
Mrs Kingsley:Hazel no
Me:yes I was
Mrs Kingsley:how did this even start Hazel
Me:it all started when my mum's boyfriend started to abuse me.I used to sit there and watch as he tried to suffocate my mum.At least she got better over time when she found another man.However I am still the one reliving the time it happened every night,every morning,every day of my LIFE.When you said that I couldn't date Freddie cause you didn't want him to get involved in that kind of stuff.He cheered me up.Always cleaned the cuts and bruises of me.He used to even put me to bed every night after you put him in.He would give me hot cocoa and ice cream.He was the best friend I had ever had.Knowing that now I had thrown his girlfriend off the roof, do you think he'll still like me?respect me?NO.Because if I've gotta be honest.I LOVED HIM
(I said with tears rolling down my cheeks)
Mrs Kingsley:oh well we will speak about this tomorrow and you'll probably be entering the honour of court
Me:okay bye
(I left the room as I bumped into someone.oh it's Freddie.I ignored it as i already made things worse for him.Like I thought walked away from me)
