Ugh. No motivation to write or do anything besides watch netflix. Save me. Tell me something interesting.
Also, Jack O'Callahan.

I was out doing a little shopping one morning when Sidney called me.
"Hello."
"Hey what are you doing?"
"Oh you know, just spoiling our daughter and buying some groceries." I told his as I had to chase our daughter around the store.
"We're all heading to Sutter's for lunch if you two want to join us." Team bonding with my daughter? This should be interesting.
"Yeah, we'll be there."
I went to the cashier and paid for the stuffed purple elephant that Charlie refused to let go of. She threw a fit when I put it up on the counter.
"Charlotte, you'll get it back in a few seconds, the world is not ending." I sighed, handing over my card.
"She's adorable. How old is she?" The worker asked.
"She'll be three in January." I smiled, signing my receipt.
"Have a good day." I handed my daughter her new stuffed toy and walked to the car.
As soon as we got to Sutter's place, Charlie ran inside, elephant in hand, trying to find her father. By the time I made it to the back yard, Sidney had already picked her up and was talking to her about the purple animal she had just gotten.
"Hey Sid." I kissed him and went to grab a water from the cooler.
Sidney put Charlie down and she continued to show the players the elephant. I was sitting in the shade of the patio when my husband came to join me.
"I think you should name it Beau." The Californian told my daughter, which caused Sid and me to laugh.
"I don't really want to have to buy a new one because every time she drops it, it breaks." Sidney started laughing, as did some of his teammates.
"Ha ha. Very funny Sid." Beau turned around and started walking away from us. We all thought it was funny, but Sunshine was getting all butt hurt about it.
Next thing I knew, Charlie was getting chased around by Martin and then Sutter picked her up, running away from his teammate.
All the guys loved Charlotte and she loved them. She actually just loved being the center of attention and that was pretty easy when you were the only real child with a bunch of children hiding in the bodies of grown men.
We watched out daughter play with Sid's teammates, laughing pretty much the whole time.
"Maybe we should just drop Charlie off at team functions and then sneak off and do our own thing." Sidney suggested as he took my hand." I laughed at the idea, but it was actually really smart.
"I like that. I'm just worried about Charlotte and them rubbing off on her." Last thing I needed was my innocent little girl acting like a bunch of hockey players when she's barely 3.
When she gets older, I'll think about it.
"Ahh. Well, if they do anything bad, I'll probably kill them so."
"How charming. I can't wait until she dates. Will her boyfriends have to beat you in a hockey game?" I asked him sarcastically, only making him laugh.
"Yeah, over my dead body." He joked.
"I'm just a little scared to hear about what you've told your team about looking at me the wrong way."
"Then I won't tell you, but the guys are pretty scared." I was about to hit him when I heard Charlotte crying and Beau trying to get her to stop. I walked over to the two of them and Beau looked at me like he was scared.
"I didn't-"
"It's fine, Beau. She can't cry all the time if she wants to be a hockey player, no. She can't." I wiped the tears from my daughter's eyes and hugged her. She seemed to be fine when Beau kissed it better.
I got back to where I was sitting with Sid, "You are going to have a fun time keeping her away from the boys when she gets older."

If this sucks, I'm sorry. Like, I really am. This is painful to me.
