Since Liam refused to tell me where he is taking me, I don't really know how fancy I'm supposed to dress. I rummage through my closet and finally settle on a simple red, A-line dress. It is sleeveless and settles a few inches above my knees. Liam was wearing jeans which means wherever we are going is not very formal so the dress is perfect. It's casual but still cute.
I put on a pair of sheer black leggings underneath and pair it with black ankle boots with a short, block heel. I apply very light makeup and set my hair loose, in its natural, wavy state.
I spot my grey coat that I wore to the party last night folded neatly on one of the chairs next to the window with my heels placed on top of it. A flashback of Liam carrying me back home hits me and I remember I didn't have my coat or shoes on. This means someone must have had to go through all the trouble of bringing them back.
Butterflies begin to flutter around in my stomach as the memory resurfaces. I can recall his strong scent engulfing me and the taste of his skin as I trailed kisses down his neck.
Wait, what?
Oh, dear God. I cannot believe I did that.
A strong air of embarrassment surrounds me, making my entire body heat up. Why did I have to drink so much? The funny thing is, I wasn't even planning on drinking that much. I just got carried away and am now clearly regretting it.
I'm surprised Liam was kind enough to not bring it up or I would have died. I take a few deep breaths to calm myself and after somewhat gathering myself, I put on my coat and head downstairs.
Liam is already waiting for me in the lounge. He has put on a black jacket and stands up as I reach downstairs.
"You never told me where we were going, so I hope this is okay," I say nervously while pointing to my outfit.
"You're perfect," he replies softly, making my face heat up.
"So how'd you get the idea to finally take me on a date," I ask, trying to distract myself from his stare.
"Your friends were asking you about our dates yesterday and I realised we hadn't been on any," he answers with a shrug.
Walking over to me, he wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me towards his side, and walks me out of the house.
We head out and turn right from the house. He leads me through a few trees and bushes in a direction that I haven't previously been on.
The woods break away to give space to a narrow driveway leading out of what seems to be a gigantic garage. Liam walks over to the gate and presses his thumb onto a pad attached to the wall. A green light flickers on the pad and a small beep sound is heard as the fingerprint matches. Slowly, the garage gate begins to lift up and the lights inside come to life, revealing a row of cars on both sides.
"Wow," I mumble as I walk inside and marvel at the cars lined up on each side, facing each other.
There are five vehicles on my right and another five on my left. Most of them are sports cars except for two large jeeps parked at the very end against the front wall. They are mostly black in colour besides a red one that, on close inspection, turns out to be a Ferrari, and a yellow one that looks to be a Lamborghini. I have never been into cars but who wouldn't to drive all of these beauties?
I walk around, tracing my hands over the ones I find the most appealing and sneaking looks inside through their windows. Making my way back to the centre of the garage, I come to a stop between the two rows of cars and give them one last look before turning back to Liam who is staring at me from the entrance.
