"Hello? Earth to Lake?" Sawyer said snapping fingers in front of my face.

"Huh? What?" I asked very confused. Sawyer and Ava were standing in front of me looking very disapproving.

"Was the sexting getting hot and heavy?" Ava teased. I stuck my tongue out and rolled my eyes at her. I was texting Charlie and honestly had no idea what they were saying.

"He's just showing me what he wore to his friends Halloween's party yesterday," I said showing them the picture I was staring at. It was a picture of his Halloween costume. Charlie was in a purple dress and a black leather jacket. He was dressed as Julie from the show. It was really hard to keep a straight face. I had dared him to dress up as Julie last week, but I really didn't think he'd actually do it. This boy was a disaster, I thought to myself shaking my head and smiling to myself. Just then he sent me a text saying he was going to call me on Facetime. "SHIT," I said running to the nearest mirror making sure my hair was fine.

"Mmm sure, you go with that," Ava said turning her attention back to the TV. We were watching the last episode of Julie and the Phantoms before we started our movie marathon.

"He's really hot," I heard Sawyer comment.

"I so called dibs," Ava said throwing some popcorn at her. I turned around and raised my eyebrows at them. They both shrugged their shoulders. "The show grew on us."

"You mean the guys..." Sawyer corrected and we all bursted out laughing.

"Don't let Jesse hear you say that," Ava warned her. Jesse was Sawyers longtime boyfriend. Ava and I had a bet on when they'd give up saving for their dream wedding and elope.

My phone started ringing and I ran to sit down next to them on the couch. "Hey," I said as soon as I answered. He was bent over doing something, but I couldn't really see it was dark.

"Hey you," he said when he finally looked up . "What are you guys up to today?"

"We're just about to start our marathon," I explained, flipping the camera so he could see the TV. "I showed them your costume."

"Hey lover boy," Ava called out. She whistled and came closer to the phone so he could see. "Nice legs Gillespie. Who knew purple was your color?" She said teasing him. I gave her a light shove, not wanting her to be rude. For the past month Charlie and I have been talking nonstop. Day and night. We had gotten really close. It was really cute how he had formed a relationship with my friends.

"Hi Charlie," Sawyer said coming to sit next to me. She waved at him.

"Hey, hey. My favorite girls!" He said as I brought all three of us into the frame. Ava just grunted at him. "Ava, ever the sweet talker," he said blowing her a kiss through the phone, making me laugh. Why aren't you guys going out?" He asked.

It was Halloween and we had absolutely no plans to go out. "I think Sawyer wanted to stay in this year, so we're just going to watch movies and eat junk all night," I said holding up my personal bucket of candy to show him.

"Nice." He said giving me an approving smile.

"What are you going to do?" I asked him grabbing some of Ava's popcorn and shoving it in my mouth. I instantly regretted it. I began to choke on a piece of popcorn.

"Smooth," Ava teased.

I was literally a disappoint to all girls. How could one person be so unlucky? Is it too much to ask that this boy see me normal for once?

Charlie didn't seem to notice. "I'm going out with a couple of friends. I'm walking there now," he said flashing me a big smile. We chatted some more before he said he had to go.
