The next morning I was the first one up. I had finally convinced Charlie to give me the couch.
The only way he agreed was because I told him I wouldn't be sleeping at all.
Which was true.
I stayed up all night reading and writing down ideas. Kenny had given me a booklet with the basic idea for the third season along with the script for the first episode.
I was supposed to start writing with the band today and I was freaking out.
I tried my best to write as many lines as I could just so I didn't get stuck.
Kenny also wanted me to write a few new songs for the tour.
The pressure was very real.
When I heard one of their alarms go off followed by a loud crash I knew it was my cue to go make some coffee.
I poured three cups of coffee, grabbing two in each hand. I held them out, waiting for the boys to come out. As if on cue both Charlie and Owen came walking out of their rooms. Their hair disheveled, both rubbing their eyes and yawning. I couldn't forget the most important thing. They were both shirtless.
Down girl! The voice in my head said, snapping me back to reality before I began to drool.
"Good morning!" I said as they both walked over to me and grabbed a mug. They both answered with grunts.
They both took sips and their faces instantly lit up.
"Morning, Baker," Charlie said, rubbing his eyes again. His voice was groggy and I almost choked on my coffee. He sounded hot in the morning. "I'll be right back, gotta pee."
I nodded my head and turned my head, smiling at Owen.
"So what's on your schedule today?" He asked.
"I'm starting my writing sessions today!" I said, unable to hide my smile. He looked back at me and smiled.
"No way! That's awesome Lake. Who are you working with today?"
"Um, Madison and Charlie," I said nervously.
"Have you written anything so far?" He asked and I nodded my head. I saw his eyes glance to the notebook that was on the kitchen counter. "Is that where your notes are?" he asked again and I nodded my head, cautiously.
Before thinking I jumped to the notebook a second before Owen could.
"Hah! You're good, Joyner, but not good enough. Nice try though," I said winking at him. I made sure I had a tight grip on my notebook. There was no way this thing could get out of my sight.
"I'll get my hands on it, somehow. Just you wait, when you least expect it, I'll come and snatch it from your hands," he said dramatically. I just stared at him.
"Okay, sure. Anyways," I said rolling my eyes. "Are you excited for your last day of shooting?"
"I'm actually really sad. This season was so fun, but at least we're having dinner tonight," he said opening the fridge.
"What dinner?" I asked, taking another sip of my coffee.
He snapped his head in my direction and shut the fridge door. "No one told you?" he asked.
"Nope," I shook my head, taking another sip.
"Weird, I thought Charlie would have told you. Anyways, we're going out tonight to celebrate the wrap. And you are definitely coming with," he said pointing a stern finger at me.
